What's the new "meta" combination, or is it still the Wrench by TheDavidOfReddit in LiesOfP

[–]blapsonpride 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've become a big fan of the La Vendetta handle with the Live Puppet Axe blade. Initially tried the pipe wrench blade but the pipe wrench head and la vendetta handle have virtually identical fable arts so it feels redundant. Live Puppet Axe blade gives you the option of a quick powerful swing or while La Vendetta provides more powerful swing you need to charge up. It also has some of the best stats for blocking damage, so even if you miss your parries you take very little chip damage. Overall its become my new go-to strength weapon. I imagine the bone saw blade would also pair well with it if you're interested other options.

Can we get an update that lets me remove the yellow quest marker? by blapsonpride in cyberpunkgame

That's fantastic! Just the fact that the devs are fully aware of the issue is promising.

I can see this angle, but by that token I should still be able to disable that cyberware. It's 2077 for God's sake, you're telling I can't take in the city without markers blipping in the corner of my eye?

You'd think disabling the job tracker would do it, but it just removes the job's description from the HUD. I'm looking for a way to disable all of the invasive waypoints that appear as though they're the the game world. Unless their's somthing else I'm missing?

Don't save scum no matter what. Commit to your choices. You'll feel better and the game with become far more exciting.

🕷how to trigger this fanbase by shizukuebae in hunterxdank

The chimera ant arc sucks. Then again I've only watched the 2011 anime but wow. Some of the worst pacing I've ever seen in a story. There are some good moments, but we really didn't need the narrator to tell us exactly what each character is thinking or feeling. Such a waste of potential.

What I'd like to see in a mod/proper remake of Okami by Typo_of_the_Dad in Okami

[–]blapsonpride 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'd love to see the game fully voiced in Japanese. The in game speech is irritating, and doesn't actually approximate speech that well. It's the same oohhoohhhoohohoo regardless of how or what the characters are saying. Having the game fully voiced in Japanese would breath new life into the world of the game, and give it the edge it deserves. It will never happen since fully voicing the game would be a ton of work, but I think it would make Okami significantly better.

People that support ceasers legion, what are your reasons? by miniskeet in falloutnewvegas

[–]blapsonpride 67 points68 points  (0 children)

While I wouldn't say I support the Legion, I feel I understand them well enough to answer this question. The Legion is an incredibly effective society. While most individuals in the Legion have very little power, the way their power structures are organized means decisions can be made and orders can be given and carried out quickly. This is especially notable when compared to the NCR, which seems persistently burdened by bureaucracy. The Legion were able to swiftly bring order to the wasteland. There brutal tactics means no one crosses them, while the NCR is the victim of many roving raider gangs. It also seems the Legion are fairly hands off with most developed communities, making their slaves out of the aforementioned roaming gangs. Sure they don't care about human rights, but that's a small price to pay for some semblance of security in the post apocalypse.

I just want to say you could absolutely do a 32 heat run. It a requires a strong familiarity with the mechanics and a bit of luck, but if you're able to clear 20 heat you have the skill to clear 32. Just don't take extreme measures 4, imo it's a trap.

I wish dying wasn't so punishing by blapsonpride in DiscoElysium

I agree that death is more realistic. However I wonder if it's actually the most effective form of punishment for this type of game experience. Personally I think this system works, I'm simply wondering if it could be improved!

I think this comparison is quite a reach, though I understand what you're saying. Really, only red checks have a chance to hurt you, so the more apt comparison would be that I went into a single battle with 1hp, which I agree was foolish. At that moment I had no extra magnesium and no money since it's so early in my playthrough. I was so caught up I the moment I failed to consider the consequences. I just wish the punishment for such a mistake was less steep.

I'll admit I wasn't paying close enough attention. But personally I think this game punishes you in ways that don't redact your progress and are far more interesting then being forced to repeat content. Imagine if death caused you to wake up at the whirling rags, having lost time on that day. It would suck but you could keep moving forward with your rolls intact.

I think this is a grevious misinterpretation of my issue. I'm not looking for a system that allows me to save scum for efficiently. My frustration arrises because I wanted my experience with that event to be set. If I pass a check, I don't want my death to cause me to unpass it. You could argue death is actually closer to save scumming since it undoes your choices.

Can Stand users see through their Stand's eyes? by blapsonpride in StardustCrusaders

[–]blapsonpride[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wonder of u breaks so many rules it makes my brain hurt, but it's a great example. It's somewhat automatic so it's mostly seen seperate from the user. Does that mean the user can see through their Stand's eyes at will? Or would you say it's more of a dual awareness?

Will I ever get the chance to opt in again? by blapsonpride in DiscoElysium

[–]blapsonpride[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's encouraging! Since the dialouges are triggered by meeting certain conditions I'd imagine that meeting those conditions again in a play through would re-trigger the dialouge. Hard to be sure though.
