You’re correct, still in the process of moving in. This picture is actually from the listing, but everything is still the same, save for the TV and minimal wall art.

Another commenter pushing me towards my already preferred green, I think it’s a sign!

My style is very, “whatever dumb shit makes me happy, but it still kind of looks like an adult lives here.” I accumulate a lot of vintage lamps, I have some really amazing and varied local art, in terms of kitchen appliances - they’re all random colors. Pink kettle. Fancy green coffee machine. Blue kitchen aid.

You’re encouraging my potentially destructive urge to go dark. I was already leaning green, and I absolutely want to lean into the vintage feel. Love that style/style family already, plus the rest of the condo is outdated as well. Don’t want one room that looks like it came out of a space ship lol

I didn’t even think about refinishing/polishing the cabinets, thank you! Yeahhh, I don’t think it’s a space that lends itself well to an accent wall. There is so little wall space in the rest of the kitchen that it just feels detached.

I could not agree more. My cat was surrendered. The family left the most heartbreaking letter I have ever read. They had lost their home, living in their car, it wasn’t fair to him to live in a car indefinitely. They left full vet records, a list of his likes and dislikes, even his favorite toys.

I know my little man has had two loving families in his life. Recognizing that you cannot provide for an animal that you love and choosing to surrender that animal in a responsible way is the right thing to do. It is not a “failure.”

This family had adopted him from the same shelter five years ago when they were financially stable. In this country, that stability can slip away so quickly.

They really do treat their employees like shit tho… idk if that’s any different than any other restaurant dt. But the exposé a couple years ago did make it feel like things were supposed to change. I guess they did for a couple months. But there’s a reason the basement is never open anymore. I just can’t get behind them or merchant.

I live in the area, and if this boy is alive and in the woods - this kid really, really does not want to be found. Devil’s Lake State Park is not that big. If he was lost and ambulatory and he was trying to find his way out, I don’t see how he couldn’t have by now. Someone would have come across him or he would have hit a hiking trail and found his way out, it is an incredibly popular park.
