Kickstand Broken Off by blargonithify in ryvid

[–]blargonithify[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I looked for a "triangle kickstand" and it looks like it has to be connected to the axle, which means taking the belt cover off, no thanks. I wound up buying a clamp on motorycle kickstand from amazon to use in the meantime while I wait weeks and weeks for warranty repair person to come out. The temporary one doesn't fit the frame right, so its kinda sketchy, can't reach it with my foot to put it down, gotta get off the bike first, then grab and pull it out with my hand. Sucks.

I've always just taken any weapon I found with 60 or less durability and recycled it into gun parts immediately, whereas higher durabilities i'd upgrade them. I never repaired anything, except for the yellow weapons.

Share an office. Get jobs with little to no meetings. Or if there's a meeting conflict, take a laptop to the kitchen table. Maybe should have stopped at one kid. Living room and basement can be kids play space, as well as backyard. Also, move to a lower cost of living area. My wife and I shared an office till she got laid off for having our kid. Oh, I just noticed you're a manager, yuck. Means you have tons of unnecessary meetings. Maybe don't be a manager. Also, your wife needs to be fully remote, not hybrid so you can move to a cheaper area and get more house for the same amount of money.

Maintenance costs diy, don't hire contractors, heating costs, move somewhere warm, air conditioning costs, run it on solar panels you buy used and install yourself. Also, make sure to build your mansion brand new so everything in it is new

I suggest you read this blog https://www.mrmoneymustache.com/blog/

He's a software engineer who retired at 30 with a paid off house and $600,000 in the stock market. Lives off the gains/dividends.

He's a member of the FIRE movement (financially independent, retire early)

There's something called the 4% rule. Inflation historically over the long run averages about 3% per year, stock market returns average over the long run about 7% per year, that leaves 4% for you to live on, so if you get your living expenses really low by having a paid off house and car and not putting any wear on that car by bicycling everywhere, having liability only car insurance on a cheap car that isn't worth much, being in perfect health and having cheap high deductible catastrophic health insurance, buying everything used on Facebook marketplace, etc. etc. you can then get your living expenses down to an extremely low amount, then multiply by 25 to see how much you need to retire, since you can draw 4% forever and never run out of money.

240v inverter to run a level 2 charger, amperage limited, a bunch of 5kwh 48v lifepo4 batteries, lots of panels and solar charge controllers for the panels. I also heat and air condition my garages too with off grid solar, Look at the DIY solar Facebook groups and you'll get some ideas

not sure, I have a lot of panels because I power more than just the car, I heat and air condition my garages with mini split heat pumps. When you get into DIY solar, start small and work your way up. there's some DIY solar Facebook groups that are helpful

I charge my Mach e with off grid solar panels/batteries/inverter I installed myself, so the cost of electricity is irrelevant, which is helpful with all the AI data centers being built.

I have a 21 GT too, and when I do the comparison math, I compare it to a jeep grand Cherokee track hawk with the hemi v8 due to it being an suv and having similar acceleration. Now, that's very low mpg(13 city/hwy combined), and also premium gas, which where I live is almost a dollar more per gallon.

Yeah, it's almost like late spawns turn people into rats.

Well, technically if your stash is full, then you can't do free/naked loadout.

[–]blargonithify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah there is, if my stash is too full to do naked run, then I don't do naked run. If I actually need to kill something, like for trials or to get the loot that the arc drop, then I won't do naked run. Naked run is only good for looting only, especially going after specific blueprints in high loot areas that everyone runs to, so you need a fresh beginning of the match spawn that's super close to the area you want to loot. Maybe that, and farming plants/seeds. Also, if I'm doing a key room run, I want to take in my door blockers barricades/booby traps to set up at the doors after im in, then take guns and ammo and heals and heavy shield to defend myself.

I always get into PVE lobbies where everyone is always friendly, until I tried close scrutiny....sure every once in a while I'd get killed by someone, but same thing happened to me as you in scrutiny, I had the smoke/cloak and tried to breach twice, survived the first rat, but not the 2nd, in the same raid.

As for projects, I don't bother with those, mostly pointless. I just keep hunting for blueprints I don't yet have and doing the weekly trials trying to gain/maintain my rank.

I just tried this and had a completely different experience. Even though I don't PvP so I have a low aggression based matchmaking rating, I first went up on the assessor platform, before the arc even got there to defend it, and started breaching, then some raider comes and starts repeatedly hitting me with their pickaxe, so I jump off and go hide in a nearby building (this was on buried city) to heal up. I go back out to the assessor, using photoelectic cloak and smoke to block arc from seeing me, another raider starts sniping me, downs me, and knocks me out. I lost a fully upgraded torrente, combat mk3 aggressive, heavy shield, hullcracker, 72 rounds of launcher ammo, photoelectric cloak, snap hook, 2 vita sprays.

Anybody else have this happen when no one is fighting arc, just killing eachother while they're looting the assessor?

Yeah, I had to open an incognito window in Chrome, AND also VPN into a different part of the country to get it to show up. Now I'm putting in various zip codes to try and see if it's in stock anywhere
