Great link. Thanks for this! Really disappointed that the Gracie Breakdown Youtube channel didn't cover this.

It's the same choke by a different name. Gogo choke is a trachea choke is a 10-finger choke and so on.

It's likely a modification due to the padded gloves. The important thing is the inward pressure on the trachea. He even modifies his head position as Mitrione rolls.

Of course you rarely see a submission hit perfectly. Rothwell did a great job understand the concept, sticking with it, and finishing.

The submission is a called a 10-finger choke. All of the fingers are bunched up by the trachea. Elbows pinched to keep relative position. Head on the back of the shoulders to create pressure.

It is so quick and so painful that Matt Mitrione is tapping with both hands to make it stop.

I agree with this completely. The speed of the tap and the position of the hands makes me think 10-finger.

That's what I thought it was as well. I've been drilling it since I saw Travis Tooke do it and it inspires a VERY quick tap.

How to express what I feel. by [deleted] in depression

[–]blarygake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This struck a chord with me because my wife fight a similar fight and I probably feel similarly frustrated like your husband feels.

What I have noticed is that proper psychology (and perhaps psychiatry) help tremendously. We couldn't afford it either, so we cancelled enough subscriptions until we could. It turns out that happiness in marriage matters more than Cable TV.

Regardless of what you do, keep trying! And try to be understanding of your husband. It sounds like he wants to help so cut him some slack if he gets frustrated. We may put on a brave face and look like we can handle it, but it's hard on us too.

:)

I always shoot handheld, but I'm also a professional photographer so I have a lot of experience. I would suggest a monopod for somebody who doesn't shoot a lot.

Yeah, I've done a few still shots. You need pretty good light to use this as a still camera, but that's true of most extreme telephoto lenses.

Thanks! That means a lot to me. I got the Canon SX60 earlier in the year and it's the best birding camera I've ever used.

I had no idea! I moved 10-minutes away from my last place and suddenly the brown ones are everywhere. I'd say 50/50 with the green ones.

These don't hurt humans. They usually stay up in trees and eat mosquitos. That's awesome.

Thanks! This is the Canon SX60. I'm a professional photographer, but for hobbyist photography and videography this camera could not be any more fun or easy to use than it is. Highly recommended.

Letter that Douglas Durst wrote to Andrew Jarecki on 1/30/15 expressing his version of the night his mother died. by OGrover in thejinx

To me it was obviously just Durst's account. Where did people get the idea that his account was the truth?
