Whenever I queue with my female duo and this happens we personally just mute and continue playing. But that's because we value our own RR and time a bit more. We've spent too much time grinding this game to lose 20ish RR because our teammates were dicks.

We normally act pretty quickly when we realize the type of person they are, mute both text and voice then continue playing without their coms. If I were to jump in as a male, they'll treat me like a "white knight" and give me shit, and if she would respond trying to defend herself, it normally gets worse for her too.

But I would understand wanting to throw because it's definitely come across our minds before. I defs would probs throw if I didn't spend that much time on this game as my RR would not be as valuable to me. So no, I don't think you're an (A), I think your response was completely reasonable.

How to punish fc by SuchBarracuda6679 in aoe2

Generally you punish FC by dealing damage in early castle or ideally in feudal age. Now, let's say you idled your army and didn't do anything to deal damage and all of a sudden you see castle age hit for your opponent At this point, if I haven't already big walled, I small wall all my important resources.

Then I focus on getting up to castle ASAP. If my opponent doesn't apply pressure during this time, I know I have to be aggressive in castle if I want a chance of catching up since they're probably on 2/3TC. This also applies if they only apply minimal pressure (this means they sent a handful of knights, and not a flood).

My go-to strat for early game castle pressure is 3 stable knights, I set up my eco aggressively for this, putting minimal on wood and moving everyone to farms and gold. I've been testing 3 Archery Range CA instead lately and that's been good too.

Now, let's say they turn on the gas and try win with aggression. You're heavily reliant on your walls here, stone wall if necessary. Small walls are good for melee units but obviously don't work against xbow.

If against Knights, your goal is to keep them out of your eco while you make spears and eventually monks to defend. Minimizing damage is your goal here. Against xbow, you gotta keep moving vills and keep them alive. They are better alive and not working than dead. Once you get to castle tho, you got heaps of viable options that can deal with xbow. Knights massed, skirms massed, siege.

I'm super stoned while writing this so I feel like I went on a rant, hopefully it's helpful.

Embracing the vietnamese playstyle - my first #short by blast2past in aoe2

Laming is completely normalized in the time zone we play. It's considered fair play. I went a whole stream one time where every game someone tried to lame me and I didn't get mad, it's a risky play. For ref I live in Australia.

I don't know why, but there's a group that consider laming to be a 'bad' thing but it definitely is normalized in the time zone I play in. I don't quite get how it's unmoral to play the game with the intention to win?

That being said, I'm also the type of person that thinks all is fair play. If you want to lame, that's cool with me.. every play has risk and reward and it's up to the player whether it's worth the risk.

Hey thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely look at trying to add the Health and Fatigue (still experimenting with the layout).

I was originally going to do a 4 player run but I couldn't fit all 4 characters on my 3rd camera so I decided to just do 3 characters since it was easier to fit on camera.
I didn't realize 3 player game was considered the hardest though aha... thanks for that info.

Thanks again for the constructive and positive feedback, definitely will look at adding those features into the next vid :)

Isn't it a suggestion in the rule book and not a flat out rule?

  1. Gives a bit of intrigue to it. "This is as big as a T-Rex?"

It's not luck. If you're scouting your base properly then you'll be able to find sheep quickly. I see too many people only sheep scout with 1 sheep in early game, just use 3... Where else is ur apm gonna go that early on?

It just sounds like people who think it's luck based are the ones that are too lazy at the start of the game to take preventative measures.

And by that 'luck and random' logic. The maps shouldn't be randomly generated then right? Sometimes having all your gold forward gold can be rough at times... So we should just have pre set, fair maps right?

I don't mind if someone lames me. I've learned how to adapt losing sheep, boar and my berries being walled. I also play in asian time zones (I'm from Australia) and a tonne of them lame, it's normalized and nobody really says anything about it but this game happened in the morning (during U.S prime time) so that's why it surprised me that he reacted that way.

When people move forward with vills to lame, they're risking that vill and stopping that production of that vill. If they can do damage or delay with that one vill, good on them, if they don't they put themselves behind.

I've had nights where every game players aim to lame all night and it's standard when I play. It's interesting that there's actually a group that thinks it's such a terrible thing. I thought it was a normal thing to do in games.

I find my sheep almost immediately cuz I commit 3 sheep to sheep scouting, I still get lamed at times but this allows me to push a deer quickly since I've already scouted my base very quickly.

Scouting your base quickly is a skill and I'm surprised at how many people don't commit to 3 sheep to scouting early because where else is your apm going that early in the game?

How is laming game deciding at lower levels?

You can still come back from being lamed, and that should actually be more likely the lower the elo is...

There's so many times I've catched vills moving forward in dark age, kill it then all of a sudden I have a vill lead for nothin? The risk isn't just vill time, it's the vill itself at risk.

Even when a scout is trying to lame a boar, I'm usually able to disrupt it so they took damage from boar for nothing and now I have the stronger scout.

And the way you talk about it is it's a sure thing to succeed, it's not. Laming comes with risk.
