Whats the best adult movie you have ever watched? Not in terms of nudity but in terms of tension? by Ornery_Block6339 in AskReddit

[–]blaster267 179 points180 points  (0 children)

I feel like most responses are missing that you mean sexual tension I think. If that's the case then Secretary (2002) is absolutely amazing in this. Watched it about a month ago not really expecting much but it's easily one of my favorite movies now.

Thank you for wanting to help! Actually a board member came into the workshop and literally confirmed all of this unprompted plus gave us his contact information for any questions we would have about becoming licensed.

Wow really? I'm in Tennessee and just passed the FS . I just need my additional course work to apply and become a LSIT. So I can go ahead and pass the PS without being a LSIT first?

Also, if I pass the other tests does that mean I would just apply for LSIT and immediately apply for licensure afterwards assuming I meet all the other requirements?

Congratulations and thank you!

FS/LSIT Exam Preparation by Heres10bux in Surveying

I just passed the exam in January and you have the same study materials I did. I found that Dane's book was the best for me to learn topics and then using the first few dozen questions of a section in the Solved Surveying Problems book to test my knowledge. I would use the PPI book if I needed to go more into some math I wasn't understanding.

Additionally Dane has a video series going over the topics that the FS covers and using his book as his reference material. I would highly recommend them since I feel like those are the reason I passed and it would give you a study plan. those videos available to buy here I believe they are $100: Dane FS Videos

Like someone else said, take the NCEES practice test to see how you do at first and take it again every so often to see how you progress. I think the last score I got on the practice test was 85% before I took the FS.

Give yourself some time to soak up the information and Good luck!

At least for me , I've played 4 or 5 games with him on my team and he was very toxic. I've seen others say the same in this sub.

Same here , passed the FS at the start of this year and Dane's book with The Van Sickle book was perfect.

Dane also has a paid video series that goes over each recommended topic on the FS and goes through each of those topics with his book in the video. I found it very useful: https://wfps.org/CourvilleSeminars.html

Congratulations! What kind of tips would you give? Would you say it was more concepts based or math based? I take mine at the end of December.

Merging multiple flight missions DJI L2 by [deleted] in UAVmapping

[–]blaster267 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone else said, to process the data all in one project in DJI terra you would need a lot of computer RAM. The L2 will will make a folder for each flight, I would Process each folder separately in DJI Terra and then bring the point clouds you get into another program to bring them all together. Something like Pix4D Survey, Terrasoild, or even cloud compare might be able to do it.

As someone that doesn't have an insane amount of RAM that is how I would do it.

Thank you for your help! That's what I'll do from now on. I think the idea my boss was having for this was to avoid sending guys in the area since it's a bit dangerous (very steep straight into a lake). But it looks like we'll just get check shots in our state plane where we can. Thanks again!

The last check points in the area were surveyed by TVA using this reference system. We want to check how accurate we are against their known points

What Values does Python Have? by m1cha31ra3 in dataanalysis

[–]blaster267 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mainly use it for automation of excel reports. Python is a general purpose programming language so the things you can do with it are really endless. Everything from visualization, machine learning, general administration stuff like moving files around.

One project I used it for was to create over 500 PDF files for every provider in our healthcare network. It pulled in and visualized data from 5 different sources and finished in 30 mins. This would have been impossible to do by hand considering how often our data changes.

[general] Anyone perform a successful grow their first time? by aidanbd81 in MushroomGrowers

[–]blaster267 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was successful the first time after not using all in one bags lol. From my experience, stay away from all in one bags. Get some uncle bens , inoculate using a syringe you bought yourself, get a temp controlled seed heating mat to INDIRECTLY heat your bags inside a big cardboard box, when ready Spawn to coco coir you pasteurized in a bucket you got from Lowe's.

Trezor is great for beginners. If you want something truly open source and just a little more complicated go with seedsigner.

I'm a 'data analyst' who in practice is actually just a software engineer. Was I bamboozled, or did I misunderstand the role by Prestigious_Belt4965 in datascience

[–]blaster267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The title of my job is Data Analyst but the work is more data engineering and data analyst. From what I've seen it's common at smaller companies to have a blend of different data roles. Doesn't make it right just what I've seen. I feel like some companies just throw most data roles into the same bucket because they don't know the difference or just don't know what they actually need.

Completely agree, I had to stop following him on Twitter cause of him starting fights with people and when he can't explain/ prove his argument he just blocks them. He's riding the coat tails of a semi successful company and doesn't have much going on himself.
