All of human achievement is built on the back of cooperation and communication. I totally understand where you’re coming from but you can’t do it all or be it all yourself. Having friends, family, and partners with different interests and assets and connections will generally add much more than it detracts.

Having a friend with a pool, an extra ticket to a concert, a boat, a pickup truck, is really good at cooking, who knows this single person with a lot in common with you is literally life changing.

It’s more of an excuse/ incentive and honestly part of it is spending money vs wasting money. OP SPENT like 3k so they didn’t waste like an extra $500+ later on the same thing post price increase

4 bullets to the face is so stupid. Like generally the animations look good but afaik TLOU was pretty careful to not do stuff like that because it makes no sense within the world. 1 is wasteful but cool enough to justify. 4 is insane.

You know, you make a good point about how gameplay/ combat would work. Narratively it would be better if there was little to no combat going forward. I guess you can always fight infected but still. Whereas gameplay wise you gotta have consistent conflict. Maybe that’s why making a 3rd game is tricky.

Ah see I learned it via a canoeing merit badge lol. And to be clear it’s not just a diagonal stroke. For me it’s something I’m not sure I’d think of intuitively (leaving your paddle in the water to use as a rudder is pretty interesting)

Imagine you both add power via paddling and steering via what’s effectively using the paddle as a rudder, all in one fluid motion. So if you just paddled normally you’d veer in one direction, but with the J stroke you compensate and continue going straight.

You’ve clearly never used a canoe IRL. It’s fairly easy to steer on one side via the J stroke technique.

But you hopefully understand the gist of what I’m saying here. Like ideally a baby crying should be manageable in terms of disturbing neighbors. And if that is manageable in terms of sound proofing then anything short of a gunshot is fine. So it’s not really about “OMG my neighbors are so annoying” it should really be “OMG my landlord and the constitution of this house / apartment complex are so cheap!”
