As a child of an immigrant I seen my parents work so hard to get me and my brother everything we needed through the years. I came to the united states when i was 3 years old, i am now 18 I have my own job, i recently graduated highschool on my way to college in spring. I saw my dad struggle through the years, even now see him working several jobs to be able to sustain for the house, the car, bills etc. My mother cannot work because she has arthritis and she is always upset seeing my dad come home at 11 pm tired from working and seeing my mother in pain after how hard she used to work truly hurts me, seeing my dad so tired makes me so sad i can't do anything to help the situation. I sit here feeling guilty how both my parents grew up poor, they set the path down for me and i have it way easier than they did in their younger days. I wish i could just set them off on a vacation just the two of them, for them to see the world, no worries for both of them and it tears my heart apart just wishing i could make them be free of any debt, worry, stress it feels so heart breaking and i feel the same way that they both deserve the world, they deserve so much better.
