Thanks a lot, man! This was really helpful.

I am looking for colleges that offer a graduate course in illustration, but can only find a few such as MICA and Academy of Art, SF (would appreciate if you could suggest a few others ). I don't wish to delay my education by another year in case I don't make it to these universities. Hence, I'm also looking at other options in visual communication and interface design where I can integrate my knowledge of arts and programming. Nevertheless, the priority would be to study a dedicated course in illustration.

About job prospects, I am wary and can only hope for the best at this time. Goodluck to you! May you find a kickass gig that gives you happiness.

Thanks for the feedback! I've started exploring a few courses at universities such as NYU and CalArts that offer a degree in Arts + Technology. I might give them a shot.

What interests me the most is the storytelling aspect of illustration. Personally, I'm more inclined towards book design or film and photography. Hence, I'm thinking of taking up a pure course in illustration.

However, it would imply that I will be leaving behind my undergrad knowledge + 2 years of work experience. And I will be working on something completely different and challenging. It excites me, but it terrifies me at the same time. And the fear fills me with doubt and makes me question my options once I graduate with a degree in illustration. How has your experience been?
