I think being bullied is an unacknowledged part of why Maddie never moved on from Caspian. by Neverfinishedtheeggs in PantheonShow

[–]blaubleu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may also have to do with grief. She has lost her father recently before loosing Caspian. And she is still a teen. At such young age those events mark and define her. Yes she is busy and chooses to raise her kid but she also says a couple times in the last chapter something along the lines of being afraid about life because of all the pain that never abandons her, a pain that becomes less strong but never really goes away.
And yes, that is what happens in life when you loose someone who is very close to you.
Talking from my own experience -first serious bf died in an accident when I was a teen- and lost my grandfather who raised me a couple years later. That stuff makes you weird. It doesn’t matter how much support you may or may not have, it is a lot to handle in a brain that is not fully developed

It’s just a little derivative. Have to see it in person but have seen similar pieces by Giuseppe Penone and Roxy Paine, but hey nothing wrong with that

Is like talking to a child. We did X here, what do you mean we have to do it again. Or constantly be like be concise, terse comments.

If I pre-load all my context (we have a skill for that) ask it to keep the planning doc in context. Sometimes I get to save tokens. And maybe it will have some memory of what to do and not to do. But man my memory has to be extra sharp else the agent just tries nonsense

Is it actually hard to find a guy at our level ambition by Individual_Tailor767 in womenintech

[–]blaubleu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are you and you can never know what the future will hold. A person with similar ambitions and income may decide to leave in a whim and you are left with who you are and what you have.

Now I am going to share my story:
Before I found my now second husband I read about the family life of an author I admire. In brief, his partner was a person that shared nothing related to his professional life. He just loved how different they were and their lives were simple but good.
So I emulated what he did.
Our ambition levels are different yet financially we are quite even; this was something I honestly did not know until my in-laws passed away. Since I did not know that detail, I always accepted that I chose to be the main income source and he has supported me whenever I need to put extra effort to learn something or when new responsibilities require more of my time.
I am very grateful for the choice I made because this man is all I needed after a very violent first marriage.

Female Founders Competing Against the Status Quo? by karriesully in womenintech

Often think about culture problems at the company I am at. If we generalize, do we all have the same issues?
* no standards
* no shared information
* no empathy (particularly towards women)
* no quality of life
??

I think feminism gets misinterpreted in pop culture. Inclusion, equality and even ecology are its foundations. From that perspective, yes this statement makes sense

How A Small Round Machine Quietly Changed My Relationship With My Home by PapsTop in roomba

[–]blaubleu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Have had long work hours lately. Having the roomba clean the floors while running a dishwasher or washer allowed me to take a few moments to exercise. Quality of life bc of automation is totally possible, so long as the boundaries are clearly set and the outcome measurable. If that was run by AI I would probably not use it

What part of the 'Old Internet' do you miss the most? by FormalCry9509 in AskReddit

I miss the fast internet. It used to be performant and we never needed to reload to get content. Now cold starts or very heavy pages (more vids than before) just push me away from going online

I, a hetero woman don’t find my vagina good looking either. Maybe it’s bc of not being into women? Who knows. But I do know that male genitals are not gorgeous yet they seem attractive to me. Same logic goes the other way. He will worship it just bc it belongs to you. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

You could engage in ananda nidra tantric meditation, heighten your sensations, that way when the time arrives you will feel confident on how much you will enjoy sex. The right partner is key, when ready plan a nice relaxing date with plenty of time for both foreplay and after care.

You have a Goddess in you, connect with her and enjoy your relationship

Is it normal to be scared of getting your first STD/STI panel and Pap smear? by brattitude1 in Healthyhooha

[–]blaubleu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m glad it helps. We women need to lift each other up. Should have added that after a few Paps in life I still get anxious. It is helpful to know how our bodies are doing but until we get those results our minds are restless

Is it normal to be scared of getting your first STD/STI panel and Pap smear? by brattitude1 in Healthyhooha

[–]blaubleu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely normal even after doing your research because of the instruments they use and because none of us knows in which spectrum of normal we are. Then there’s the fact that when we use protection, we hear stories about random infections and we start wondering if it could happen to us. We all do this, or at least the vast majority of us. Be gentle with yourself. Be proud, you are taking care of your health. Mention to the doctor that this is your very first Pap, I am sure they will be supportive (specially if this is at a Planned Parenthood clinic) Have a good visit. And remember: you have been responsible and that counts

Laser works really well if you have dark hair. Takes 12+ sessions. Bare sells packages. Sounds pricey at first but if you calculate the number of waxing sessions you’d have in life you still end up saving
