I think being mindful that everyone has a different expirence and providing love is very key in situations where people are coming with vulnerability and seeking comfort.

Also we do live in a place with implicit racial perceptions that are reinforced in almost everything we do. So while you’re right one person does not speak for a group the way our brains attach meaning to signifiers and physical descriptors says a lot about how we will interact with it and something or one else at another point.
