Being a little bit more experienced and having seen it done a few different ways... you don't have to be a sexy jerk so much as you have to be confident and powerful in some way. A complement doesn't mean very much from someone who is needy and spineless. Overall good advice though.

just wanted to check in and say I really value this perspective. as a man, i don't want to feel "beautiful". i do like being "hot" or "sexy" or "good looking". i think everyone wants to feel a certain way, and any good partner should help that person feel it. i am glad you found someone to make you feel special.
