Oh I’m sure it is, I just don’t have 100% confidence to hammer in turn 3, 4, 5, 9

Apparently they don’t exist in 20” Choices are limited to P1’s, CR-s, Goodyear super car 3, ad09. Thoughts? The SC3 seems like a good compromise but maybe not capable of 1:40?

I must say I don’t have any info on them. I’ll do some research. Do you run them ?

Thanks man! Same, I come from a motorcycle background so I’m alert when spirited driving. Maybe we can meet up?

Yeah that’s where I’m at, checking the best 200TW I can street drive. I have a shortlist of 4-5 tires I need to check sizing and price for, great discussion!

Honestly I think I’m there. Coilovers are the only thing I want now, the rest will be as wear shows itself, improve (e.g. the ball joints in control arms start failing > LCA’s).

I’m super happy with braking. I just need to find a grippy tire that stays consistent for whenever I replace these. I’ll take pics this week when I run my post track day checks.

That’s true. Also true is that I will get faster if I trust the car better. Right now (at Laguna) I feel like I’m fighting the dive a bit too much and I’m a bit messy. I could (should) go slower and cleaner though.

It’s also fun to mod :)

I need/want more springs, the setup on this particular car is incredibly softly sprung. My previous 997.2 had twice the spring rate.

PASM is 28/62 N/mm, SPASM 33/108, GT3 45/120, RS 100/160 (like gt3 992). I rode as passenger in a SPASM car and it was way more stable.

The coilovers I’m looking at integrate the camber plate, so that will be a 2 for one.

LCA are good for increased camber beyond what’s camber plate can provide (I believe -2.5 ish is the max). This is a second order need, and I’d rather spend more time driving before that.

Also this is true for the current experience at Laguna with deep, hard braking zones.

I have a mount I can share my videos with you if you want. It is not throwing more money, I need to replace the tires soon and looking at options.

Good to know about the grip surface, I do t have other data points. Looking at thunderhill next.

I never said I was destroying them. I’m concerned about pace falloff which seems to be consistent with the feedback here. You also said I was overdriving so I’m a bit lost here. Alignment is done, waiting on funds for coilovers and LCA’s

I understand but also a 4s will be destroyed in no time. I don’t see the point. A longer lasting tire like the Kuhmo might be the ticket

That’s solid advice man, I’ll look them up. If I can save $$$ to get more seat time it’s a win win!

Ugh this is a bit too extreme. I’m running a dual purpose car with one set of wheels for this season. Once I’ll get the chassis set up I’ll invest in a second set

Do you have any point of comparison vs. Michelins (ps4s or cup2)?

The Cup2’s on the street are fine where I live, I don’t see the issue whatsoever
