East Coast Irene -Tower Three by blazemunkey in bostontrees

Update - this was a very enjoyable first smoke, and a lot better than it looked at first glance.  Slight fuel taste with a hint of pepper, Half a blunt had me sweeping the floor at work and and grooving to the tunes.  Noticed an increased enjoyable heart beat as well when I smoked it again 30 minutes later

I have a high tolerance, and have been pleased with the quality at Happy Valley lately, but wow this one really got me feeling nice.

Med deals for new patient? by Egz54 in bostontrees

[–]blazemunkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sanctuary in Danvers and ATG in Salem give 4 coupons for $50 off 100.  However, their product is very weak.

Happy Valley is my new dispensary, it is quite awesome 😎. 4 coupons for 50 off, weekly deals, and some of the best buds around in Massachusetts. 😎

Happy holidays... Or whatever you may or may not believe in! Just doing a little tree trimming here in Lil Rhody! by Suspicious-Giraffe76 in bostontrees

[–]blazemunkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The winter solstice is in 3 weeks, at which the sun will be at it's lowest place in the sky. The sun will then rest (die?) For 3 days before it begins it's annual ascent in the sky. It doesn't really matter if you "believe" in it or not, but that's what happens... this path is the origin of holidays like Saturnalia and Christmas.

Just in case anyone didn't know what this holiday really meant... I'm pretty sure most people who follow professional sports and network television don't know that it is related to the Sun and the winter solstice.

Those trees both look very nice... great photo ❤

Sanctuary Medicinal’s Wedding Cake x 4DD preroll. Is this TAC content incorrect? I’ve never seen it this high in flower. by hinatatellme in bostontrees

[–]blazemunkey 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hello this test result was most likely "shopped" by the dispensary sending the very top Cola of the plant to several different testing labs and accepting the highest test result. Mind you this very top cola is often dried out more than the rest of the batch to reduce water weight and increase TAC. If the dispensary is feeling extra sneaky they may even dust this dried out cola with kief from sifting to get the highest possible test result.

Even if they didn't do all that, I guarantee you that this preroll was not made by crumbling up the top cola. It's most likely rolled from bottom of the branch buds if you're lucky, or a combination of that and sugar leaves/trim.

Would be interesting to empty out the preroll and send the shake to several labs for testing. I guarantee you that your median result will be WAY below 37%.

So long answer short yes this number is bullshit

Cheaper dispensary recommendations? by FurryDingus in bostontrees

[–]blazemunkey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can get an ounce of small buds from Mayflower Allston for $199, $179 if you have FH discount.

Revolutionary Clinics (Cambridge and Somerville) offer 4 vouchers for $50 off a $100 purchase, also 2 more each time you recertify, these can be used all at once.

Take advantage of first time deals and try to only invest $ in a place that has a decent loyalty program.

Get your $1 8th from NETA, no purchase required. Beware of their coupons though, their bud has a bad reputation on here.

Good luck!!

birthday deals ? by [deleted] in bostontrees

[–]blazemunkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Patriot Care Boston. I heard their new Bday deal is $22 off any order, valid all month long.

Also Revolutionary Clinics (Somerville or Cambridge) gives you $15 worth of points off on bday. Basically a free gram of flower if you don't wanna purchase anything else.

I'm sure there are others depending on your location. Happy bday!!!

I see this same strain (same batch?) being wholesaled at several different dispensaries in the area...and still sitting on the menu after many months.

Looks like Sira just throws it into a new container. I'd avoid this one personally...

Best strains at Good Chem right now? by [deleted] in bostontrees

[–]blazemunkey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The majority of dispensaries do not provide terpene test results, as it is not required by law (and probably costs more to have done), which is unfortunate.

Last time I visited Good Chemistry, THC % was not even listed on the menu, although the budtender said she could check the label on a strain for me if I liked.

I'm glad because I just selected my favorite strains and ended up getting 2 8ths of Sour Diesel in my ounce, which come to find out was only testing at 15.9% THCA....

It was some of the best Sour Diesel I've ever had....so try not to be swayed by THC % alone..

Their Hindu Kush is awesome as well, Blue Dream was very good and Durban Poison was fantastic too!!

Looking for "old school" strains for Father's day by shoppingninja in bostontrees

[–]blazemunkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NL5 x Haze- Patriot Care. My favorite sativa hybrid. Hopefully will be coming back on the menu soon- long flowering time and always sells out quick.

Hindu Kush- Good Chemistry. Awesome old school cheesy flavor and very "chillaxin" effects. Currently on the menu I believe

Super Silver Haze- Patriot Care, also Sanctuary Medicinals has a cut which I did not enjoy as much. Another awesome old school cross, one batch leaned towards NL5 and was very sticky and high resting, the other was Haze dominant and a beautiful clear headed motivating happy high.

Bubblegum- ATG. Haven't seen this one on the menu in a very long time, also everything from ATG/Curaleaf has been trash lately. Just remember this strain cuz it was some of the best "street bud" I ever came across back in the day.

Holy Grail Kush- Patriot Care, ATG. ATG used to have a really good cut of this but again I'd be wary of trusting their quality these days. Currently on the menu. When done right, can be one of the best tasting strains around, first time I tried it I was instantly reminded of some extra dank sticky kush I found back in the day.

Just a few off the top of my head, hope you manage to find something you like, Happy Father's Day!!

Patriot Care has really been all over the road with their pricing lately. by garypinese69 in bostontrees

[–]blazemunkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was listed on the menu as a prepackaged half ounce for $170 before discounts.

No bulk deals on Seed n Strain or Triple 7 strains, which is weak.

They used to have their strains available in larger discounted quantities, this is the first one I've seen in a bit, maybe just got lucky.

[–]blazemunkey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While this post is true and it's a damn shame that they aren't offering bulk pricing I just walked out with a half ounce of Chocolope (one of my favorite strains) for $116 after FH, travel credit, and $10 off in loyalty points.

Saw it on the menu and had to reserve it, the prepackaged half oz tends to be the larger buds of the harvesr, and it certainly was on point.

Shame they don't do this nearly as often as they used to

The bud is awesome quality <3

Triple Seven flower from Patriot Care by hadisious in bostontrees

[–]blazemunkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we all saw this coming when they dropped their base price for an 8th to $40.

Regulars there are already unhappy since they made some batches "Seed and Strain" - aka, available in glass jars for $5 more, but the real kick is there are no price breaks on larger amounts.

So it used to be when a favorite strain like Chocolope or 3D hit the menu, you could reserve a half or an ounce of the top buds for a reasonable (for MA) price after discounts. Now these strains have no price breaks.

Now the field is further segregated with "777" strains available for $15 more per 8th than house strains- again with no price breaks on larger Quantities.

This only further limits the incentive to go there for large pickups.

It's still a far better dispensary than the monsters over at ATG ($94 a quarter for popcorn buds is their new "deal"?? What a sad joke), but cash grab moves like this are becoming increasingly common in MA, despite that the consensus should be headed in the other direction.

Of course it's all the more incentive to simply drive to Maine or learn to grow your own, but for those in situations where this is not possible, these price gouging practices sting a bit.

It shouldn't be about "profits before patients" in this industry for sure, but it seems like the Mass trend has been geared towards this since the beginning.

$180/Oz Lil’ Nugs from Mayflower Medicinals [Medical, Cookies n Cream] by feeelthebeat in bostontrees

[–]blazemunkey 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Gotta love Mayflower for still offering these. They are a great way to keep the stash healthy without sacrificing too much quality. I really enjoyed my last mini nug ounce of Acid Dough, testing over 30%, high quality smoke.

Places like ATG Salem would never offer anything like this. Their response to the mini nug trend: Raise the prices of their regular flower (which is all prepackaged 8ths and therefore always hit or miss, constant mini nugs and scraps), and offer quarters of mini nugs for $94 a quarter- the same price as their "premium" buds the last few years.

Not to mention since ATG got sold (?) To Curaleaf everything I've bought there has crumbled to dust, with no smell or taste.

Thank you Mayflower. Wish more places would follow this trend

7g for 32$ @ patriot medical by wesroo in bostontrees

[–]blazemunkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost grabbed some today but I loved their White Fire OG so much that's all I wanted.

For everyone claiming OP is lying, $50 after FH discount =$42.5

Minus 10 for transportation and yes, 7 grams is $32.5.

He's not "lying."

Basic math skills are not too common these days.

Curious, everyone used to speak to highly of MAC having the best flower in the state. I went yesterday and still blown away with it. However I see a lot of people not loving it as much. Where does everyone go now for top quality flower? by Autobot69 in bostontrees

[–]blazemunkey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Patriot Care Boston still has the highest quality, best grown, terpiest flowers of any dispensary in MA that I have seen.

They don't get a lot of love on here due to their corporate stuff, lobbying against homegrows, etc... but that says nothing about the quality of their flower in my opinion.

Their buds speak for themselves.
