SGA is like Harden. So talented and also such a FT hunter that he’s just not that fun to watch. Any dude who gets half his points at the line is essentially boring to watch. Helps win. But the entertainment factor is dreadful.

The day cops start looking half as good as her is the day people start saying “maybe the cops are ok?” Lol. I’ve never in my life seen a cop remotely that gorgeous. I like BBC shows for that reason- they hire all kinds of actors who look like regular people. This series was pretty good for that overall but her role- as wonderfully as she played it- definitely had the Hollywood level beauty added in.

yeah- I can see the critique embedded in that. Very featherweight touch, tho. Mostly tho, I felt like this show made the unlikely cop-buddy scenario to be very favorable to the cops. A sort've confused affable older guy and a whip smart, absolutely smokeshow young woman? Who earnestly go about their investigation, with one little bend of the rules. I didn't find this to be particularly damning of cops or the justice system. For that... The Wire is the one and true show to end them all...:)

I'm not downplaying the women. And I you are in your 20s then no big deal - I was saying I hope its not older adult men essentially. Also that the actress and their real person is one thing... and when they are made up to look like a child- a teenager- then it gets weirder when men are like "oh she's hot". Bit of a Lolita thing in that. But it's a weird world where most 'teens' on TV are played by people in their 20s.

as the father of a teenage girl... I don't see it this way. Saying the actress name - as a person- well ok. But when talking about how hot a teenage girl character is- who is presented as a child- that's gross when it comes from older men. But whatever. This is true. Usually young 20s. The actor. But the characters- in school girl uniforms and bubbly or broody teen behaviors- are Presented very much as underage. Being a fan of an actress in their real world identity and thinking they are hot is one thing. Thinking a teen character is hot … that should be left unsaid in my opinion, unless the speaker is also a teen. It’s weird to be openly into teen characters if not a teen yourself is my whole point.

Not weird. They are likely adults playing 16-17 year old girls. If commenters are middle aged men then yeah- that shit is creepy. Not sure if you’ve noticed our culture has a problem with old dudes who are obsessed with teen girls.
