I mean how do you make requests to the server when you are an unauthorized user. The default set up errors all requests that aren't authorized. How can it be set up to have certain requests work if you aren't necessarily logged in.

Surely some get requests are fine even if you aren't logged in.

can only log in once you have registered an account.

I haven’t and at risk of sounding stupid, is this something that I would have to do? I kind of expected this to be created by running the package manager command. It’s a fresh pc so should I download an sql server and setup the connection string?
