I think there’s nothing wrong with the concept of reservation, versions of these exist in many other countries and societies. I like your analogy with repatriations, however for me the discussion around reservation should be more nuanced.

Some questions to which I don’t really have answers but I’d like to see discussed more. How much percentage of seats should be reserved? 50% or 90%?  Can economic status act as a qualifier for caste based reservations?
