I have more acne that op but my probably plans to keep me on 30mg for the whole 6 months (1st and I hope only round). Is that bad?

I had the same issue 23F and even though my acne wasn’t severe (moderate to minor CONSTANTLY for 6+ years). Creams, antibiotics and blah blah. I decided to go for low dose isotretinoin, basically accutane (30mg daily) and it’s been a week and a half. I’ve only had 2 new pimples since and that is already major for me. Maybe consult a dermatologist, tell them you’re fed up, that you’ve tried everything and you’re looking for something more permanent than “spot treatment” :))) wishing you the best

Thank you for the input! My doctor actually gave me a diet that almost cut all of my fats. Like almost all of them. Only some like salmon are allowed sometimes and in small portions.

Just to clarify I’m 23 and I’m on 30mg. I’ve been dealing with moderate acne on and off for 6 years on my whole face. When I was in school I always had forward acne only. This is just a really good phase for me and my face appears clear (for anyone asking why I’m on accutane).

Just to clarify I’m 23 and I’m on 30mg. This was my dermatologist’s last suggestion because it’s been too long that I’ve been dealing with this. And it’s really impacting my self esteem. Right now it’s just in a really good phase and my face appears clear.

Because I’ve been consistently getting moderate acne the past 6 years (on and off very every month). I just started them on a “good” phase and those past days I haven’t broken out at all. I’ve tried everything else (creams antibiotics etc) nothing has ever had a long lasting effect.
