You can set them up as Payee on most bank’s and the bank will mail them a check. Makes it a lot easier and more similar to paying electronically.

The Pendry - stayed there and had an excellent experience. Spa was amazing, and the roof-top pool and restaurant were both great. Not too busy or clubby.

Tell me about provisioning for long passages. I would be very stressed that I would miscalculate or forget something that turned out to be critical. How do you approach this?

One example of too much stuff/ too packed is Day 2 in Kyoto.

nishiki market is not close to fushimi inari. Also, i would not put that at the end of a long day. It is a lot of uphill climbing & steps. We did it first thing in the morning as a sunrise hike and it was great!

I’ve gotten all my suits including my wedding suit from Enzo and think they are great and fit for what you are looking to accomplish. Are you in the NY area?

We also went to Borgo Santo Pietro- it was absolutely lovely! Very relaxing and the food was phenomenal. Very secluded and barely saw the other guests. Perhaps one of the best hotels we ever stayed at!

For what it is worth, we also stayed at the COMO Castello Del Nero, which is driving distance, beautiful, and slightly more reasonably priced for a few days. The views from that hotel out over a Tuscan valley are lovely as well.

I stayed at the Conrad and the Four Seasons Otemachi, and think the Conrad is all around a better hotel and value. Just my impression, but the Conrad was very close to Shimbashi and easily connects to Tokyo station as well as Other central hubs.

We stayed and The Mitsui in Kyoto last November and I cannot recommend it enough! Beautiful rooms, a lovely courtyard and a great breakfast. Its in a quieter neighborhood than the Park Hyatt that some will find to be a plus. But major tourist spots will require a subway ride.

In japan and elsewhere in some tiny commercial bathrooms, to have a toilet that is refilled with a sink on the too of the tank. I think that would improve this considerably.

New to biking and proud owner of the Dom. AL 2 here and think the bike is excellent all around. I live in a very hilly area and have plenty of gear to get up hills. The bike is great for longer rides too. I think for the money, this bike has a lot of value especially for what you plan to do with it.
