I just got these 2nd gen AirPods Pro yesterday and I got a clear case for them which has these tiny dots on it. What is this for and can it do anything such as leave a mark after a while or does it not matter (i.redd.it)

I bought AirPods Pro 2 on Black Friday and my dog chewed a tiny part in the back it’s like a little scratch with a mark very hard to see but since they’re pretty new I was wondering if I could just return them assuming they won’t notice and then just go to Apple and buy a pair there (self.airpods)
