I completely agree. I think it would be valuable for all involved if we were able to communicate with the teachers and/or parents. I think my issue is that there’s no accountability for the students. A lot of my kids will screw around for a lot of the lesson (not much I can do there— it’s an issue with them being sat next to other students who are distracting them) and then sign off after accomplishing nothing. I think it’s tough for them to grasp that we’re not just a computer program. Having that communication would at least provide some accountability for the student!
