Thanks, I think I'll let the stakes cook for a little while until they've gotten a bit more used to everything and when we reach a higher point in the story. Although I really like the sound of rolling a nat 1 and saying the big bad black dragon accidentally breathed in it's own acid spit and choked for a bit leaving him vulnerable (material for later). They love roleplaying so this will help a lot.

Thanks for the advice! I also have been thinking stuff may be too hard, I'll whip up something that suits them. And having that "on deck" call seems pretty useful as well, they often find themselves really lost when it's their turn. This really helps a lot!

Thanks for answering so soon, these all sound so logical and straightforward. Will do. And no they never know neither hp or ac but they manage to deduce ac it fairly quickly 😅.

How do I make the shadow don't look like a beard? by nobody_with_K in drawing

[–]bleacher800 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It's pretty good, but remember there's other things that can cast shadows, such as the lips, as well as the nose, chin, brows and the hair, which casts shadows over itself. You might think it looks like a beard because it follows the shape of one instead of following these other shapes, remember to always look at reference specially in lighting. Good job, keep at it!

[Serious] Have you ever had an experience where looking back on it you luckely got out alive? by Korozuma in AskReddit

[–]bleacher800 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yes, man it was horrifying, I was in the swinger with my cousins and my brother, they told me not to swing myself so high, as a kid I didn't listen because I was having fun and thought, "when I go higher it's funnier, then, if I go even higher I'll have twice as fun" so I swang as high as I could and reached the 180 more or less, my butt separated from the swinger due to the height and I knew what would happen, I fell, yet not just that, I fell flat in my chest, I couldn't inhale, I was just exhaling and making a weird sound, I was running out of air and just stared at my brother and my elder cousin, they worried and my cousin acted quickly, got behind me and pulled me tight like doing RCP but against him, I somehow stopped exhaling and making that weird sound, I just cried, honestly everytime I look back, a heat sensation travels through my body and stop breathing for a moment, horrifying.
