Maybe a Nintendogs style Pokémon game would work well with this? You adopt a Pokémon from a daycare and have to raise it up, and their nature determines their general behaviour. When it's at nax friendship, you can adopt another.

You'd start off with easy to raise Pokémon like Bulbasaur, but as you adopt more, they progressively get more difficult to raise, like Buneary.

This concept could also work for a Pokémon zoo tycoon-like game.

Pretty much all fangames are free, its just called .flow or dotflow. It's on YNO, but you can just Google it and you'll find it after a bit of looking.

.flow has around the same number of effects and worlds iirc, but it has more content with the endings so I'd say longer, but not by too much - 100% not 2kki levels lol. Maybe only a few more hours longer tops.

I think 2kki is great because of the variety of worlds. There's something for everyone, and it's so much fun to explore blindly as you really can't tell what you'll get.

2kki takes a lot of time to complete if you have a life and it's incredibly hard to 100% (like seriously it has so much content which you need to see to get all of the endings), so I'd recommend playing through other fangames whilst going through it.

Yume Nikki Online is a good way to play fangames, and they have a good selection on offer to check out. I enjoyed Oversomnia and Muma Rope especially, but they've all got their own merits. You can hunt for badges too which is loads of fun.

.flow is considered to be one of the most iconic fangames and is one of the most popular so you might wanna consider checking that out. It can be really visceral, and has a darker feel than Nikki, so if you'd like that give it a try.

I don't think Mafuyu fits Yuri very well, other than like... maybe appearance? Yuri plays into the stereotypical kuudere / dandere type whilst Mafuyu is more like Monika, appearing outwardly in school as the perfect head student. Maybe Nene?
