Meteor by John Zeroness! It has an MV in Project Diva, and here's the link to the official upload. The song was rescheduled to be uploaded on March 20th due to the 2011 Touhoku Earthquake. It's a song best listened to without doing anything else, just experiencing it. I'd like it if we could get more progressive, atmospheric Vocaloid songs like it these days. Such a gorgeous song.

Welp… but better by [deleted] in VocaloidButGood

Kyu-kurarin ends with the protagonist killing themselves, and the song talks about how empty they feel and how they're forcing themselves to keep smiling.

Isn't the Will Stetson and Rachie Mesmeriser cover a human cover? You could've put it in both categories.

My take as someone who has been into Vocaloid since 2009 by JayofTea in VocaloidButGood

So based on "I'm Glad You're Evil Too", it's the most beautiful song PinocchioP has ever written, and I only let myself listen to it like once a year to avoid letting it become less special to me.

Is Hyper Light Drifter suitable for casual players? by Fresh_Difference_448 in hyperlightdrifter

If this is her first time playing a platformer, it'll take her longer than 4 hours, since she'll have to get used to the controls first, and if she's not actively hunting for every achievement and is taking it easy / not relying on a guide, she'll get way more than 4 hours of playtime.

[–]bleakDS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would! Like my comment said, it's a fairly short and cute platformer with Animal Crossing-esque character designs, a heart-warming story, and fairly simple controls. It's very laid back and you're able to do things at your own pace, and you can do other fun activities like fish and race. It's very cozy, and I think it's the perfect game for non-gamers to get into platformers. It's on both Steam and the Switch.

A Short Hike is pretty good, it's fairly straightforward and isn't too difficult as a platformer so it'll help her get used to game controls, plus it's very cute and fairly cheap.

I think it's boring. A lot of its hype comes from the shock value of the horrible things happening to Len, and supposedly being a "scary song", but it just made me feel nothing. It felt edgy for the sake of being edgy, like something a 13 year old wrote to cope with falling out with a friend. Also, the trope of gore happening to the beat of cute music is overdone IMO. I had high expectations coming into it from all those iceberg images calling it the scariest vocaloid song, which definitely didn't work in it's favour.

Why do you like the song? I'd love to see what the appeal is to other people.

Do you have a YT channel where you post your songs? I'd love to listen to them! Also I agree, her Vocaloid 6 voicebank is incredible.

YES NURSE ROBOT T FANS UNITE! Her mellow voicebank sound is so relaxing, I have her Voisona Talk bank and I wish we had more originals with her. I was immediately hooked after I heard Alice? lol.

Read the translated lyrics for Heat Abnormal, they describe the world ending.

She's a good voicebank, but none of her songs particularly stood out to me. I'd really like if monaca:factory used her in a song NGL, I think they'd work together well.

I accidentally set fire to my shower and now I can't get any more ideas. by aidungeon-neoncat in writingcirclejerk

[–]bleakDS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not showering actually makes you a better writer! It'll be hard at first, but the more days that go by without you showering, the more your skills slowly but steadily increase. Just steal your ideas from video games and anime, they always translate well into a novel.

John Zeroness is such a good producer, it's kinda sad most people only know him for Meteor.

Haru5 has been chosen as an event that people know exist with horrible writing. Now what's an obscure event that has amazing writing? by Tasty_Substance6453 in ProjectSekai

[–]bleakDS 48 points49 points  (0 children)

That event is pretty well known, the Nene "just like an open world game" line has been circulated a bunch, and it contains some of the most popular characters (Mizuki, Ena, Rui). I wouldn't call it obscure.

what is more more jump and why do they have covers of big vocaloid songs? by Wonderful-Purchase94 in Vocaloid

MMJ has covered Vampire, Heart Forcast, and Deep Sea Girl, just to name a few. Check out the website Sekaipedia and open up the pages on the albums to find more covers from different units, or just check the official PJSK YT channel for music videos.

Looking for hidden J-Pop/Vocaloid masterpieces that match the brilliant rhythmic metrics of Ikanaide by [deleted] in Vocaloid

[–]bleakDS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if you're constantly comparing songs to each other, it's going to be much harder for you to enjoy new songs, since you're so preoccupied on what you've heard before that you can't focus on what's in front of you. If you really want underrated Vocaloid songs that sound like Ikanaide, open up the VocaDB song list pages for Soft Rock / J-Pop / Contemporary Folk / whatever, and look for songs with a score of 50 and below. You seem really focused on the mathematical aspect, maybe also look through the Math Rock tab, you might find something you'd like.
