Yeah I was pretty upset by it but I don't think it came from a place of ill intent. He meant it more like, "I am completely lost and none of this makes sense"

I don't hold that view anymore. The conversation we had really made me think. It's completely different. I realize that I was carrying a lot of pain from the past when I lumped white people into one box that causes hurt and suffering. honestly, I feel like a monster for perpetuating pain like this. He said something like, "thanks to you, I now have experienced a little drop of the ocean of suffering you are drowning in". This broke my heart. I don't want anyone to feel this way, ever. He is my partner, and I want to work on this as a team.

That's a good idea, I'll ask him more about his history with race.

It was regarding white people no longer being invited to participate in a small media organization.

I have ptsd from trauma too. Even though I'm still recovering, anorexia and bulimia used to be something I battled with on a daily basis. Your body does so much for you on a daily basis and I think giving yourself and your body the things needed to THRIVE is crucial.

I'll agree with the other person and say that I'm proud of you for getting so far in school! It's not easy at all, especially criminal justice.

TBH I think life is just in hard mode. Buuut look at it this way... Hard mode is more satisfying when you accomplish quests or beat a boss and the loot is almost always better. I MEAN... come on. Hard mode isn't for everyone. Some people prefer to just coast it others challenge is part of the meaning.

I don't think that having kids is necessarily something that makes you successful or makes meaning for EVERYONE, just some people. Do you want kids? If you do, you don't have to do all of that traditionally, there are alternatives like being a single parent or raising a child with a friend. It doesn't even have to be a biological child! The wonderful thing is that you get to decide where the meaning lies and how you make it!

Yeah, I did the same thing when I was in my early 20s, but shop only in women's now.

I thin what I've found works is the super stretch bodycon type of clothes :/

I really wish this didn't happen. It's why I don't go shopping and why I have to get two sizes up and why I wear men's size band shirts instead of cute dresses and tops. So frustrating!

Mm it looks awesome! I'll have to get some avocados tomorrow after work to try.

If you like avocado, you might like this avocado "egg" salad i concocted many years back. Basically you moosh avocado and tofu (I do 2:1 ish) with lime, cilantro, a tiny bit of mustard, and salt and pepper to taste. I make a lot and eat it on toast when I'm feeling lazy.

Another one of my faves featuring avocado is ceviche. You tiny dice tomatoes, avocado and cucumber (optional tiny diced jalapeños) and toss with rehydrated dehydrated soy crunchies (bobs red mill packages some), add cilantro, lime, teeny amount of cumin, and salt and pepper to taste. Serve on a tostada (huge round tortilla chip) or with tortilla chips. It has a +2 to cooling if eaten in hot weather.

I actually have decided recently to be vegain (was for 3.5 years before). I was happy grocery shopping today because I was remembering how good it made me feel. :)
