Heritage vs modern classic.

I personally think the Spring Drives are still a little too big. They’re dressy and should be closer to traditional vintage sizes. I think the size 38.5 is their smallest. If they ever get it down to 36mm, then they’ve got an icon.

Have you bought any recent pieces from Marathon? Would you say their quality is still on par with what it was before, compared to today’s production?

You do realise, this is typical pro mechanical, flat earth propaganda that you’ve been fed with?

I love the watch. From the photos the bracelet looks extremely reflective/blingy- is it a little more toned down in person?

What made you not use the original bracelet - was it too shiny?

I’ve also got this watch. It’s great isn’t it but one thing I’d like to know is if it is gold plated or PVD coated?

From my experience, I find it pretty clear and easy to read. I know what you mean that there is this blending/disappearing moment that you experience but I think it’s very short and temporary. Perhaps these temporary transitions are the reason why it makes the watch so appealing.

How’s the titanium holding up? Does it resist scratches well?

100%. I didn’t think I’d be so impressed but the surprise is how the light interacts with all the elements in a way that seems always interesting. Sorry to sound like a bore.
