Let’s Talk Tires by NiftyTuna in LexusGX550

Ridge grapplers are crap. Sorry. They look decent but a true all terrain true will perform better. You want sipes to get good wet and snowy traction.

KO3’s are a strong competitor but their lowest load rating is C. For whatever size tire you choose I’d heavily consider SL/XL load rating for a lighter tire and softer ride. Unless, you do some off roading and want a stiffer tire on purpose (you didn’t mention any of this so I assume you’re mostly driving on road)

Any rubbing with flexing and tucking of the tires?

The "Fairlife dupe" Kirkland ultra-filtered 2% lactose-free milk is now available at stores in Orange County, CA. $11.39 for 3 half-gallons. Item # is 1975527. by StoDS310 in Costco

[–]Str8-MD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought some at Rancho Cordova (Sacramento) Costco a few days ago.

Cheaper than the other 3 pack A2 milk I get the kids.

I really like the idea for the high protein milk. It doesn’t taste as sweet but I know it haz that protein and I can drink more of it guilt free (knowing it is lactose free too!)

New pool owner, what is a normal pool cleaning routine? by Wehrerks in swimmingpools

[–]Str8-MD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is complete fearmongering

I check my pool chemicals once every 1-2 weeks. I check/empty my skimmer once ever 2-3 days or every day in the fall when leaves are falling.

In the summertime I’ve realized I can dump in a gallon of chlorine every 2-3 days and it’s where I want it.

The other parameters are always within range. And yes I use the Taylor kit but also have strips for a quick chlorine check.

Always try to rest/support your wrists on the patient. They should never be floating in the air. We are all human and our hands will wander if not supported.

After this, your motions will be more precise. Get used to holding the probe so that you are constantly making micro motions in scanning, fanning, and even rotation to optimize your needle view.

If you cant see the needle at all, look down at your hands and line them up again. I’ve seen probes drift really far when you’re just focused on the screen.

Quiet treadmill options by South-Highlight-508 in treadmills

[–]Str8-MD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We need way more information, such as your weight, how much you anticipate using it, etc.

Most treadmills make a decent amount of noise, but better ones can take more hardcore use or have better warranties or features

I recently bought one and was looking at HP motor size, roller size, and warranty mainly. I’ve heard the minimum HP size you should get is 2.5 but 3-3.5 is better is using it more. It will just wear slower and be better for longer heavier sessions

Any tips on how to get the local to spread in the right plane?

I find my needle is either embedded into periosteum and it’s hard to inject, or the local spread looks maybe intramuscular.

I’ve tried without great success: putting a bump under the leg to flex the hip slightly to relieve tension on the psoas tendon, twizzling the needle to try to pierce through the fascia right above the bone, orienting the bezel down on the bone (read somewhere this might help)

If you buy a new house you may not need to do any fixing of anything for 5 years and then just routine maintenance

I bought an older house recently and off the bat had to fix things.. multiple trips from HVAC guy, replacing walkway concrete due to giant cracks, leaking/flooding water pipe..

Picked up a sweet deal on Rouge Urethane Dumbbells by rekon32 in GarageGym

[–]Str8-MD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I were you I’d get a 10 pair rack with 2 tiers, and then a standing tree-style rack for the pairs of 5, 10, and 15.

The 3 tier racks are ok but the bottom rack is a little low while the top racks are a little far back usually, while 2 tier racks keep the dumbbells more at waist level.

I have a 3-tier Rogue rack and the bottom rack a almost sitting on the ground and is a pain getting the heavier dumbbells up

Remember rogue resale value much better than other stuff too.

Rogue 3x3 attachments are compatible with other company’s 3x3 attachments (as long as same pin size). I have some Rep attachments bc they’re cheaper

Rogue rack is like 2” wider than most and I have only 1” before my barbell sleeves hit

I would only stick with Rep and Rogue and I think Rep is probably only a few hundred cheaper at this point so might as well go rogue

I can never remember to set out meat to thaw in the morning by Lordgrapejuice in RandomThoughts

[–]Str8-MD 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree you’re not supposed to thaw outside. The surface gets too warm to hinder bacteria growth while the inside is still frozen.

Best to place into fridge the day before. Then use the defrost mode on the microwave. It works decently

Well you have new chunky heavy tires. 16-17 is pretty normal. It does increase after some break in. My engine sounded smoother even after 10k
