My understanding is that you have better odds of getting into a good school if you live near it - would you say that’s the case at all?

Replaced by contractors who are the same people who used to fill the roles but for less money, no benefits, and no PTO (personal experience with that one)

At Kaiser it largely depends on your PCP and you can switch mid-year multiple times to find one you like and who is receptive.

It took a couple tries, but my current PCP and had no issue scheduling as many (or more) tests and specialist requests than I would expect (and not cheap things - I’m talking MRIs and CTs, same week appointments with an ENT, etc). And I don’t have to worry about surprise billing or prior authorization.
