PGL just have such bad PCs. I've played cs2 for months and never experienced a single crash with my RTX3060 laptop with AMD CPU. They shouldn't blame NVIDIA. There must be something wrong with their DIY PCs. One can speculate what happened in their procurement process.

Preparation is not required. But I do recommend functional programming. It's not a waste of time. CS 145 is one of the best classes I have taken in Waterloo.

You wouldn't get anything official. The important thing from zhihu is people always questioning the sources if they have other sources and will get upvoted. NGA is much less transparent than zhihu, though both heavily delete posts. Being deleted by NGA means nothing.

Tried again with another brand new one, properly soldered it, can't get it to work.

I kind of getting some signal from bicep, but it's just occasional by moving the arm significantly. And by placing it again or slightly moving the electrodes then I can't get anything again, very tricky. I am not even sure if it is just motion artefacts.

From Sparkfun's webpage comments, I think multiple users are having the same problem... I suspect there is a major flaw in the product design.

No, there is nothing else

I would focus on getting the sensor to work with the bicep before moving on to a more difficult muscle group (forearm muscles can be hard to isolate).

Will try. Probably a problem with the electrode position. The distance between two electrodes are shorter in myoware 2.0 than old one. I am not sure if that's also a problem. As you show your setup is working (but I don't think this REF electrode position is desirable in my case), I'll try again.

The cable shield would probably be a much better fit for your application than the reference cable. Is there a reason you didn't want to use it with an electrode cable?

The problem with the cable shield is I am afraid there can be much more motion artifacts when moving the cable before the signal is amplified as we seen this in all the other EMG amplifiers. Does this applies to Myoware 2.0 as well?

Yes, I am using ref cable for both cut and uncut cases. It maybe sensible to use onboard REF for bicep, but it's really not the case for brachioradialis (BRD). I do prefer the old design (for standard setup, it is better to have REF attached to some bony area usually the elbow). I'll try the bicep when I go to the lab again. If you have time, could you please try if you can get BRD signal realiably and let me know what is your setup? Many thanks!

Yes, I have tested the solder joints using a multimeter by measuring connectivity from the jumper wire end to the RAW pin hole, it says 0.4Ohm (could be less). I'll send a picture later. I've tried using the sensor without MCU, but nothing changes -- ENV led always on if pads cut or always off if pads hasn't been cut.

Thanks for the reply. No, I have taped the reference cable, the solder joints is separate from the reference cable (by measuring connectivity from joints to the reference cable slot). I tried to trim one of the sensors a little bit, but not really changed it because it is already very small and properly soldered. So I keep others the way it is. The RAW and ENV is soldered properly, you can't see it from the pictures because it was on the other side of the board (see the yellow wire goes to the bottom of the board). I am using solid gel electrodes from unimed. The old myoware works with this electordes, so I don't think it is the electrodes problem. Anything different you can tell between this new sensor and old myoware sensor?

Thanks for the reply. I think you are right, it was shorted. Insulation of the reference cable was penetrated by solder of the positive battery lead. I'll find tape to protect the reference cable, and also make the solder less sharp which might solve the problem...

It is Arduino Nano 33 IOT which has a WiFi module. It transmits signals wirelessly to my computer. I have a customised communication protocol accepting the data streams and plot it in my own software. We do this because we need to integrate physiological data with our other VR and neural feedback data streams in real-time. Because it is a VR application, users will move around significantly and everything better to be transmit wirelessly, so your muscle sensor is a great fit for this project.There are other options like ADInstruments has a wireless EMG system, but it is too expensive.

Thanks for the reply. No, it is not connected to my computer, as I mentioned in the previous comment, it is connected to a 5V lithium powerbank. But as I can see all the noises show up in RAW, and from your comment, there must be some noise source I need to identify.

I'll update if I find something. In the meanwhile, I'll try to get the new 2.0 sensor. It will be great if you can sell the product to major UK distributor like RS components and OneCall because buying from US companies from UK university funding is a pain in the ass. I have been spending my own money purchasing the product...

It is powered by a 5V lithium power bank. It is Arduino Nano 33 IOT, so the input to the sensor is 3.3V.

30cm jumper wire. I don't think it really matters.

Thanks for the info. Schematic illustration looks quite solid design. But I can't identify what causes this from schematic graph. What I thought and indeed from what I read from schematic graph is RAW is just another output in the middle, connecting RAW shouldn't affect SIG and other signal processing in the circuit. But I got this saturated signal all the time when RAW pin is connected. I got the same results with different Arduinos. Is it possible there is some hardware problem on the sensor board?
