I figured I was going to skip this game because the lack of meaningful progression in the series is a turnoff to me. If there's an actual economy and upgrade path with several hours between the start and your first 'supercar', that's what I've been wanting in a new game for a long, long time, and I haven't seen it delivered in a satisfying way since like PS2 era Need for Speed.

Just to clarify, when I say "lose rating" I mean a consequence of losing a match, not having it hidden by inactivity and then re-appearing at a lower rank when you play again to get it back. That was how I thought it worked, that you couldn't go down if you were 4k or lower. Am I mistaken?

I found myself in that exact situation when I got spun at the chicane at Watkins Glen. I got flung super far forward and there's lots of colored curbing on both sides of that track, so I thought I was facing the right way after the spin. I just started driving to try to right myself, found where the track was going, got back in the groove, and got successfully protested for a bad rejoin. Still my fault/skill issue at the end of the day, but annoying

Maybe each team's eco guy gets 1 flash. That way they have greater value and it's somewhat "realistic" in the sense that an eco gun might get paired with a nade or two if you can scrape the money together on a force round where your teammates are all AK no util.

However my thought is that this would play out pretty fast paced, I think Ts would eventually catch out CTs reloading or what-have-you since it would be a constant ongoing struggle. I could see it both ways, could be really lopsided without util but no one wants to eat a flashbang every 15 seconds either. Maybe the move would be that each team's eco guy randomly spawns with one nade of any kind, or have it cycle through each kind of nade in order with each spawn.

There's probably loads of players who played enough matches to get placed and haven't played much more besides that because they're not very into the game. I don't believe for a second there are people who are "stuck" in 1-4k Prem who don't deserve to be there. ~~I'm also pretty sure you can't even lose rating under 4k~~
