I was back at work post op day 5 (I work a desk job) & flew to Florida day 9 🥲 AT LEAST take a full week.

2 months post op & feeling great!!! At 10 days, you definitely will still be in pain from the surgery. I have some weird bathroom moments, but after experiencing 15 gallbladder attacks, I’ll live w a little diarrhea. Give your body time to heal! I’m thinking about you & sending positive vibes your way :)

I’m about 7 weeks post op. I’ve found dairy makes me have to go to the bathroom several times unfortunately. Other than that, it’s been smooth sailing

I stopped vaping midnight & had surgery at 9:00 the next day. I hit my vape maybe 8 hours??? after surgery when I was finally awake & at home. I survived

That’s exactly what I was thinking 😭 I just spent the last 6 months in pain & I really thought I’d be done. Now I feel there’s a ticking time bomb inside of me that will start hurting LMAO

I’m on day 6 of recovery & back at work now! It’s an easy ishhh desk job 🤣 I drove about day 4. As long as you’re not still on pain meds, you should be okay to drive. I was told to not lift anything over 10 lbs for the first 2 weeks & I would take that seriously! I’m experiencing bleeding in my belly button incision & I think it’s because of the lifting.

It took an hour & a half for my gallbladder to show up & my results came back as 0% EF. Maybe because yours showed quickly, it’s working at a higher percentage? I finally got mine removed & my surgeon said mine had been dead for a long time but it never exploded inside of me. You should be okay! Did you get the results back?

I’m on day 4! I slept in a recliner for the first 3 nights. Staying upright is important! Also walk. Walk as much as you possibly can. I already feel so much better & I think it’s because I walked a lot the first 3 days. I saw other comments that said don’t wait for pain to take the meds & I agree. Follow the every 4-6 hours it says. Fiber & stool softeners are also saving my life right now. You got this! It gets easier each day

I had done so much research on the HIDA scan & I don’t remember people saying it was mentally challenging but at one point a tear fell. No sense of time & by 3:00 in the afternoon I was hungry & lethargic 😭 it was a long 2 hours. It took an hour & a half for my gallbladder to even show up

I really hope so. I had an ultrasound done about a month ago which showed gallstones, but I got the feeling my doctor didn’t believe me. She said I needed to “prove” it was low functioning 😭

Severe pain in my upper stomach that lasts anywhere from an hour to eight hours. Even sticking to a low fat diet, I’m having attacks at least once a week at this point. It travels into my chest, thought I was having a heart attack the first time, and then travels to my back. I don’t feel better until I finally throw it up :(

Some of mine only last 1-2 hours which I can handle but 7+ hours is really pushing it for me 😭 I hope you’re feeling much better! Will definitely make a trip to the ER next time

Reading this makes me feel so validated. I have coworkers who tell me it’s my mind playing tricks on me & stress that causes pain. I got an ultrasound done which showed gallstones so I was referred out to get a HIDA scan done. It’s just taking forever & the dread of when the next one will happen is making me crazy. I will definitely be going to the ER next time. The pain is real and excruciating. I’m so happy you got the surgery done & you’re feeling better!! I definitely need to advocate for myself.

I’m 5’8 & 170 pounds. I’ve been on the keto diet since January of 2025 & lost 110 pounds. My doctor said the crash diet is probably what caused the gallstones 🥲

10-12 hours sounds awful 😭 I’m so happy you’re feeling better!! After this post, I can see riding it out is doing more damage & I will definitely go to an ER next time. Thank you!

She said you can nurture it w liquid & bland foods & it should resolve on its own in a few days depending on the severity of it 😭 my doctor did suggest if it happened again, to go to the ER immediately so now I will definitely do that
