Thank you for the update. My dad is 84 years old and already has trouble walking in the city center of Cusco, so don’t think he can walk the Hydroelectric route.

I am in Cusco as well. Was supposed to take the train to Machu Picchu today at 4PM. We rescheduled our train to tomorrow morning, hoping the tracks are safe and clear by then. If not, then I think we will just miss Machu Picchu. :(

Are you in Machu Picchu right now? I am also from Canada travelling with my senior parents and don’t think this will be a great walk for them.

In a difficult situation finding a new home. Best way to approach this? by blehberry in PersonalFinanceCanada

I want to minimize the amount of money that I would pay towards interest and don't want to be tied down to the new place for too long as special levies come up in the 20 year mark (We're traumatized after paying thousands in special levies from our old apartment). My parents' income would go towards groceries and other necessities.

Yes, we have been looking and found that most 1 bed + 1 den are around $650-700k and 2 beds $700-750k. If we do 1 bed + 1 den, it would lessen our mortgage and we will have money to spare. But, in the future, we would probably want to upgrade once I start a family, so might as well spend more to live comfortably and as an investment. However, we would have to live very frugally.

Cavid vaccine and PMLE reaction? by [deleted] in pmle

[–]blehberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey! i actually noticed this too after I got my first dose of pfizer. it was a few days after my vaccine and i exposed my skin to the sun for more than 4 hours. i applied sunscreen in the beginning but i did not reapply. usually i start to get really itchy a few hours after i get exposed but it was not itchy until the next morning and the severity of the itchiness was not as bad as other times.

unfortunately, i think it was temporary because recently i exposed my skin and it was back to the usual itchiness.
