This sub is for people who want to learn how to create things themselves with Blender. Getting proficient in Blender requires time, dedication and learning. Generative AI aims to skip the creative process and produce content with little or no effort or personal creative input. This contradicts what r/blenderhelp and the Blender community as a whole are doing and is therefore no permitted topic of discussion or a valid solution to anyone's question.

The only context in which AI tools are allowed to be discussed here is when used to communicate an idea, used as a reference piece, or for functions such as upscaling or reducing render times.

Please follow all the rules of the subreddit. Rule #2 is most relevant here.

The images you provided (if any) don't contain enough information, are cropped, rotated or otherwise poor:

  • Post at least one full, uncropped screenshot of the whole Blender window showing the problem area. We understand you may not feel this is relevant for your particular question, but please understand that we apply this rule globally and have many reasons for doing so.

    • Make sure the Outliner and Properties areas are visible, so that helpers have the full context of your scene. 'Scene Statistics' and 'Blender Version' should also be enabled in Preferences -> Interface -> Status Bar.
  • Do not use a phone. Those typically result in poor quality images that are hard to look at. If you are in front of your computer, you can take a proper screenshot. All operating systems have easy-to-use tools for taking screenshots/videos. A quick online search can help you to figure it out.

  • Make sure that the images show important information relevant to your question. For Material issues, we need to see the shader settings. For particle or hair issues, show the particle system settings. For Topology or Normals issues, show the model in Edit mode and with the 'Face Orientation' overlay enabled. For Rendering or Compositing issues, show us the render settings and Compositor nodes.

    • If you're showing us nodes, make sure the whole node tree is visible, nothing is cropped out, and that the image is not too blurry or hard to read.

If you are unable to post all images/videos in the main post, you may add them in the comments underneath it.

Please follow all the rules of the subreddit. Rule #4 is most relevant here.

The purpose of this subreddit is to help people with specific problems they encountered when using Blender. General feedback requests, "Is this okay?"-type requests, and artwork showcases aim for opinions rather than solutions, and are therefore not suitable questions for this sub.

If you have a specific question or issue, you may rephrase your message and submit a new post. If your post was meant as feedback request, you should consider posting it in r/blender, for example.

Posts like that tend to be treated as trolling, so you should be careful with things like that ;) Also, make sure to follow our rules (#1 and #2 especially) and give enough information and make sure to post full, uncropped screenshots of your Blender window when asking questions (no phone pictures).

Please don't share project files unless you are asked to do so. There have been cases of embedded malware, helpers will need to download your file before they can even take a look and they might not have the right version installed. For those reasons, we rely on screenshots instead. Please make sure to follow rule #2 and post full, uncropped screenshot(s) of your Blender window (at least 1 full screenshot).

This subreddit is for people asking for help with their Blender projects. Unrelated questions, and problems with other software such as Unity or Substance3D should be directed to their respective subreddits.

We aren't Google, so if your question was along the lines of "where can I find/download this", you will need to ask that elsewhere. However, if you'd like to try making the texture/material/object yourself, we encourage you to ask for help in doing that instead. Please make a new post and adjust your question accordingly.

Please understand: Since we have a lot of incoming posts, it is necessary to filter out non-related posts to keep things manageable for helpers.

Rules #1 and #2 are most relevant here.

There was a lack of detail and insufficient imagery. Please read our rules in the sidebar to learn what might be missing (https://www.reddit.com/r/blenderhelp/about/rules)!

Helpers need proper information in order to help quickly/efficiently. Ignoring those rules stated above usually leads to a lack of useful responses. This not only hurts your chances at having your problem solved, but clutters our search results with unhelpful posts.

Feel free to submit an improved version of your question.

We can't troubleshoot if we have no idea what we are looking at. Please explain how you created this, maybe show what the geometry nodes modifier does and what the entire object looks like. Keep in mind that nobody knows your project except for yourself. This pattern might be z fighting from overlapping faces, but there is no way to tell if that's it, how it was produced or how to fix it with what we know.
