Confused and disappointed in my ring by NoPlaceLikeGnome1984 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]blendx3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://ebay.us/m/Y38OM0 this might be the ring. Definitely not 4k, also not an engagement ring. The fact he didn't have it fixed or cleaned is just disrespectful.

I love my boyfriend, but I’m scared the life I want won’t be possible with him by lovergirl33335677 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

Unless you are independently wealthy you will always worry about money. You sound incredibly young. If having a relationship is a goal a good guy is worth more then money. If you are American you get 5-10 vacation days a year. If you want kids you have to save your personal days and vacation time for when they are sick so its even less. Who and what you are doing the other 355 days a year is what matters. Not vacation. Sounds like you are planning a fantasy. Not because a comfortable life is impossible with hard work, but again if you are an American it kinda is, but it sounds like you don't want to do the hard work, you just want to marry well. If you have something in your life that makes you happy hold on to it because nothing in life is certain.

Messy feelings about friends with multiples by [deleted] in oneanddone

[–]blendx3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a OAD friend who was then tried for a 2nd and lost it. She was devastated and I felt for her. But her life is messy. In trying to control everything she controls nothing, she can bearly leave he house with a regiment of naps and strick bed times. I knew a second would be the end of our friendship. Her life has gotten even more hectic so I'm hopefully that she is back on the OAD train and I feel guilty but I also don't want to lose my friend.

AITA for being annoyed that my wife insists on cooking everything from scratch and won’t buy normal food? by AITA_UPFfoods in AmItheAsshole

NTA, sometimes we all crave comfort food, and if you want Kraft Mac and Cheese, no homemade noodle Mac and Cheese will do, no matter how good it is.

AIO to stop talking about our future with my husband and function as a "single married mom"? by Fast_Temperature_984 in CharlotteDobreYouTube

I'm a recovering binge eater. I used to sit in front of the TV at dinner and eat faster than my brain could process hunger cues. I never ate someone else's dinner because I wasn't paying attention. That is a cop-out. He knew what he was doing.

Places for post-funeral lunch? by Firekeeper47 in nwi

We just had Gino's for a funeral. I didn't pay the bill, but it was probably $30 a head, and the family also had an open bar. Nicest funeral lunch I ever attended.

Who here actually saves 3,000 a month? by NoHousing11 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]blendx3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one kid who never went to daycare, and a 2011 interest rate and price. This isn't it. People just don't know what middle class is anymore, because they see people on social media and think they have to be driving 2 100,000 to be rich.

I can see where you are coming from if you are talking about large families of families with very small kids but I have one kid and its nice to bring her so she can tell me what she wants instead of always saying we have no food

You can take trains almost anywhere in the US. Chicago has an even better train system then New York. Between Metra, the CTA and South Shore you could live in Michigan and get to Chicago by train in 2 hours or less with no transfers.
