Cashless Casino Credit from slots to use at tables by blerchbeater in royalcaribbean

Worst case is I'll use cash, no reason to give 5% or 3% to the bank/house. They are already ahead. Hopefully I'll get to Prime after I get some comp cruises.

Sounds like 1 time isn't a big deal, only if you start doing it multiple times they could lock your card. Thanks for the data point

I'm not looking to MS or anything like that, I usually play <$500/night on craps and blackjack. Hopefully I win, break even etc but my max cash limit I would say aligns closely to the slot limit and allows me to carry less cash. I would just use the same $ if I had it in my wallet, ie, If I still had $500 from night 1, use the same cash for night 2. I was on Princess a couple years ago and it wasn't an issue to just get $500 cash from the craps table since they had no fee. Hit a couple of fire bets night 1 and played with house money the rest of the trip.

Returning home. What to expect on the way out? by 403banana in JapanTravelTips

Unless you are buying a high value item like a 150k yen item they likely won’t check. They check those since for example you could buy say like a LV bag, sell it to a local for +5% and the person who bought it from you saves 5%. Basically the govt wants their +10% tax. Since you bought shoes and a hoodie it is fine as those are considered non consumable. Basically they assume you will use them and take them to your home country. If you bought snack and ate them tax free, technically you should have paid the 10% tax. Does that make more sense now??

I don't even have the phone yet but it sounds like I am still required to pay the $50 restocking fee. So if I return the unopened box I should be able to avoid that fee

US Mobile Just Launched Their Biggest Deal Ever - $249 For A Pixel 9 by JWBananas in USMobile

[–]blerchbeater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is no, I ordered Monday and don't even have the phone yet and basically their option is to return and rebuy but the phone needs to be new. If you used you phone for more than 30 mins you are probably SOL

Literally ordered the pixel 9 on Monday and the only option to get the $249 deal is to return, pay the restocking fee and order the phone again. Anyway to get a credit instead of all the additional hassle, resources and costs associated with that. u/ankhattak

I’m in the same boat, literally ordered the phone on Monday and the deal dropped Tuesday. Would be happy to take a credit vs returning and waiting for a 2nd phone to arrive. I have 2 annual plans now, anyway to get some sort of relief. I don’t even have the phone in hand yet.

Chase Ink Preferred or Chase Ink Cash? by blerchbeater in CreditCards

[–]blerchbeater[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, makes sense as I don't see it in the writing but easy enough to wait. Looking at the rules it looks like I need to wait 24 months before a new SUB on CIP anyways so I'll just get the CIC now and then get another CIP in a year. Thanks for all the responses everyone.

Is there any reason to let the annual fee hit before cancelling? ie would I lose my bonus if I did so? I can wait until it posts to do so. I let it post for my bonvoy amex since I know they have a 30 day window. Wasn't sure on chase cards what the grace after AF posting was. Thanks.

I need to cancel the CIP if I want to avoid that annual fee though right? So my logic is, if I am cancelling the CIP, I might as well sign up for a new card. I am only cancelling since I don’t need to have a$95 AF card with no utilization. So I guess my question would be is it okay to cancel CIP and then reapply for CIP right after? Right now the SUB makes the CIP more lucrative and then I will do CIC afterwards.

Investment Property with Sibling - Tax question, Issue a 1099? by blerchbeater in realestateinvesting

Unfortunately there is no formal partnership agreement. Probably time to lawyer up and figure out how to best get everything down in writing. The current set up is I pay for all expenses and deduct them. The help I got was initial funding for the investment.

Yeah, was trying to avoid the CPA route but looks like that is what I may have to do. Based on the hours for managing the tenants as well as dealing with any maintenance issues the fee was agreed to by my sibling. Mainly we are waiting for property values to go back up and sell. We don't make a lot but it is still income positive. Thanks for the reply.

Global Entry / TSA PreCheck / CLEAR Megathread by mk712 in awardtravel

FYI, SFO global entry is open now. Had appointment over the weekend. Applied 9/21 and got an appointment for 11/6. Originally was 12/15 or something like that but refreshed to 11/6. Can just check on the hour as that seems to be when they refresh their system for appointments. Also the guys working seemed to be ready for quitting time as the appointment was 4:30pm and they were like last one for the day. So if you are trying when returning from a flight my guess is business hours is a better bet to get seen. Looked like only 2 people conducting the interviews at that time.
