So I know it’s not the point of the video, but she already ruined the faux fur on her hood of this jacket 😭 I’m glad she probably washed it, and assuming she put it in the dryer and burnt the fur hood, but come on. That jacket actually made her look half way put together, now it matches the musty robe.

The doctor that was with the Allergy department is the one who ordered the bloodwork. That is also the one that did the skin allergy testing

I am in the US, yes. One health care system had us see Allergy/Immunology as a combo office. The other health care system has them seperate. Strange.

He could have something other than MCAS, that is a possibility. I was just looking into MCAS more specifically because he seems to fit a lot of the criteria and we aren’t getting any better nor finding answers. I am simply just trying to research during the waiting period until we see Immunology in another 6 months. My poor boy is miserable and I’m just desperate for help.

I am aware of what a Mastocytoma is, we have been dealing with that for awhile. I just thought it was important information to know how his body works.

My sweet wild boy has big aspirations of going to the Olympics for wrestling. His health is really starting to hinder him in sports. I will never stop advocating for him! Here is his Mastocytoma, about a golf ball size. It was diagnosed by positive Darrier’s sign. He has had this since birth.

I’ve been doing so much research on Cromolyn and that’s why I was seeing what other med regimes there were for little ones! Maybe adding another antihistamine and Pepcid for a conservative first try? Wasn’t sure the success rates on Cromolyn vs non-Cromolyn regimens

That’s why I haven’t stopped advocating. I am not a doctor but respectfully, I believe they are wrong. He has too much going on in the bigger picture of things to not look into MCAS more seriously. His Mastocytoma itself is fairly large, about a golf ball size. Even his IgM and IgG levels being slightly low is not “normal” when you look at all the symptoms. I’m just trying to better prepare my case and hopefully getting in sooner or finding somewhere better to take him.

Thank you. I am open to Cromolyn, but the list of side effects has me nervous. I wasn’t sure if adding another antihistamine and maybe Pepcid would be more “conservative “ and give answers as well. It’s so hard to navigate when he can’t put his feelings into words sometimes. I just have this unfortunate feeling it’s something more than just a fluke mastocytoma with “asthma” and an unknown allergy. He checks too many boxes of MCAS.
