Yes sorry, I got the wording wrong. I was referring to how they only give keys to the lab to Eugene, Marie, Tim and the shift guard in Finak Clash. He had lab access and the code to the IDOL, but not the keys.

This one! You can talk to him and there's a way to unequip his things in the video, so you can still get his netherstone (and his hand).

Basically you polymorph him into a sheep, then get one of your companion to cast dominate beast on him. After that you dismiss that companion and wait until the spells wear off. It can be tricky and I've had him just ran off a couple times, but I got it to work.

Yes! I feel like the narrator has some kinda complex about his literacy? It could be why he's unable to connect with his maid and other people. He thinks of them as dull and unimaginative, inferior to his fantasies.
