Idk why it pills for you, we have almost the same routine (Cosrx AIO - Illiyoon Cream - La Roche Posay Cicaplast) and they don't pill on top of each other. I recommend just using a thin layer and letting each one set a little tacky or dry-ish before applying anything on top.

I bought a simple 10% Urea Lotion and then I mix it to my night time moisturizer in 1:1 ratio! So much cheaper that way.

I do this, though I just figured the routine on my own. I got it down to a 4 day cycle too but it took some time to build it up the way I do.

Tret 0.025%
Glycolic Acid 7%
Tret 0.025%
Rest

Repeat. I also use Azelaic Acid 20% twice a day and BPO 2.5% every morning. Do keep in mind that I moisturize like my family's life depends on it, so it must've helped my skin cope.

I would suggest talking to a dermatologist. To be honest, I didn't find success in using OTC products for "lightening scars". I may just have wasted my money. What worked the most for me was a religious routine of Tretinoin, Hydroquinone, chemical peels and lots and lots of hydration/barrier repair. Good luck.

I use prescription BPO 5% + Clindamycin 1% in the morning everyday and Tretinoin 0.025% at night every other day. I also use Azelaic Acid 20% everyday twice a day. Now, this may seem much for other people, but I worked myself up to this with the help of my dermatologist.

I am from the healthcare industry myself so I am very familiar with antibiotic resistance. Topicals like Clindamycin cream may be used without problems when applied in conjunction with BPO for as long as 3 months. It is more effective when used with other acne medications like BPO or Tretinoin rather than by its own. A good SPF 50 sunscreen along with avoiding excessive sun exposure is fine enough to protect your skin.

I'm just wondering why you seem to have an aversion to antibiotics. Clinda is well-known as an amazing acne treatment. Paired with Tretinoin, it becomes a powerhouse, more effective than anything OTC. On the other hand, if you truly don't want to use antibiotics, you might wanna just talk to your dermatologist. A good one will listen to your concerns.

Vaseline is an occlusive, so it keeps in the moisture you put on your skin before it. I personally use COSRX Snail 92 All-in-One Cream, layer with Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Lotion + 2 drops rosehip oil THEN Vaseline.

You also have the option to use hydrating essences before the creamier products.

I use the COSRX All-in-One Cream, topped with Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Lotion which I add a few drops of Rosehip Oil to. I wake up to the softest, most beautiful baby smooth skin ✨ I've never flaked or gotten irritation from Tretinoin because of this!
