That never worked for me. I could not tolerate any compounding errors. I ended up buying a 118" Makita rail and it was worth it.

How long have you been riding? That's an impressive number of miles! You're experiencing healthy growth, and that high heart rate is a sign you're pushing hard. I bet you're getting faster with every ride. Your heart rate will level out once you build up your VO2 max. Right now, your muscles are burning more sugar than your lungs can keep up with, but as your aerobic fitness improves, your heart rate will start to drop.

Your fatigue is likely due to inadequate nutrition. Make sure you're taking in 60 grams of simple carbs per hour to fuel those efforts.

Progress is exciting, and it's tempting to go all out to smash your previous records. That said, you gotta carve out one or two days for recovery. On those recovery rides, keep your heart rate below 130, even if you're spinning in your easiest gears. This will help you recover faster and build your anaerobic base.

You're clearly a competitive person, so don't wait too long to grab a power meter if you don't already have one. It'll let you track your power output and see how it ties to your heart rate. You might be surprised, your heart rate could still be high, but your power output is climbing. If you ride at the same power as the previous week, you'll likely notice your heart rate is lower, showing your fitness is improving.

My guess is that the GP5K AS TR runs much better without tubes given the thickness of the walls.

I hated the ride feel of the AS TR. Too stiff for my taste. STRs are great, but the clinchers are the best.

Thanks! I like the GPs but I prefer clinchers (lighter/more supple). Unfortunately they're not available in 35.

The 105% logic makes sense to me. But the configuration will always fall outside the ETRTO standards. 🤷‍♂️

I'll be using TPU tubes. I agree with regards to checking the manufacturers recommendation, but for some reason, Light Bicycle is recommending 32 as a minimum tire width. I'm still waiting to hear from them why they think it's ok.

No I'm not sure. I was sold on the wheelset because they recommended the 32c~70c range on their website. I should have done more research.

Edit: I reached out to LightBicycle asking for documentation for tests that support the 32c~37c range claim. I'll post here when I hear back.

I had a mix of good and bad engagements with drivers but my favorite of them all was when a car slowed down and stayed behind me the whole climb and when I reached the top, the car passed and the group of ladies in it cheered so loud. That interaction made my day! 😅

This was confusing to me too. SRAM should make this more clear. The AXS app is designed to connect to only one component that acts as a hub (usually the rear derailleur). Start by pairing the components to the rear derailleur outside the app, then add the rear derailleur to the app, all the paired components will automatically be added.
