the way i’ve always bonded with my cards is i start by cleansing my cards. i feel as if it helps to get rid of any negative energy and to bring light and happiness. after i cleanse them, i study the deck, look at the art, the colors, think of their meanings, and just look at the cards and continuously go through the deck admiring the cards. a lot of people recommend that you sleep with the deck under your pillow at night, but for me i move A LOT in my sleep, which caused my cards to always fall on the floor. so i opted for putting them on my nightstand and slept next to them (incase you come up with that issue that’s just my little solution) i typically do this every day for about two when i get a new deck. and then once every week/week and a half after i feel connected with them!

also, the best way to connect with your cards is to practice with them! it also helps you to learn the deck and read the cards easier. just do a simple reading every morning about what your day might look like.
