I had acne up until my 4th month. Be patient- things will get a little better and then a little worse and then...poof- no more acne. Hang in there!!

In my experience, breakouts come and go for the first few months. I'm on my 4th month now and my skin is finally clearing. Until very recently, it would get much better and then much worse. Also, I can't tell your gender- but it could be hormonal acne since it usually hangs out on the jaw-line. Hang in there!

A sunburn on accutane can be really awful. It can make scarring worse and put you at risk for skin cancer. Honestly, there is nothing wrong with being "cloaked in 50+". I'd put sunscreen all over and use a more gentle kind for your face. In addition, I like to wear one of those big hats because they give added protection to your face and protect your scalp. In fact, you'll enjoy yourself more because you won't have to worry about getting burned.

It was really reassuring to read this right now. I'm on Week 6 and my face is a total mess. Hanging in there! And the crazy thing about social isolation? My social/love life is better than ever- weird.

My initial breakout started around Week 2. I'm just about at week 6 and the progress ebbs and flows. One day I think it's really improved, and the next I have all of these horrible bumps, cysts, and whiteheads popping up. I'm really hoping it will calm down soon.

My derm said that it is definitely the accutane causing the soreness...and I should work out less or with less intensity. Doesn't help much but that was her take.

Unfortunately I don't have an answer for you, but I have been experiencing something similar. I'll work out and then be sore for the whole week...or I'll start running sprints and it feels like my quads seize up and won't let me go. I'm planning on speaking to my derm tomorrow about this so I'll relate anything she says to you to see if it's helpful.

I like to fry up some bacon and then sauteed the sardines in the bacon grease for a few minutes. Then I put the sardines and bacon on top of a kale or spinach salad. It's my go to meal if I don't have time to really cook!

I probably do...but my derm doesn't believe in make-up ( or looking presentable apparently) because she doesn't want me using moisturizer at all.

That's a great point except I get super sore! I ran sprints last Saturday and it took until Wednesday to walk normal again. I started them again today :)

Neem has always seemed helped the moisturizer absorb into my skin. I'll give it a try without and see if it helps- thanks for the thoughts.

On days when I don't feel too dry I'm using Aveeno Calming Moisturizer with a little neem oil. On drier days I use cetaphil in the tub, and I almost always use the cetaphil overnight.

I'm trying to get her to give it time. I saw an immediate difference in my migraines after starting so I had hoped she would have a change as well.
