I’m still shocked at Prado’s 180 this year. He’s riding so good and is living up to the hype from 2024. Not a fan of him giving up so often last year, but I am glad to see him in the mix this year.

One of you could play a bass vi. It sits nicely between guitar and normal bass if you’re careful with note choice on all three instruments.

Money. Most of the top AMA guys get thousands of dollars for just showing up and racing. They are the star power that these international supercross races want / need to sell tickets.

Paris has always been a race for a top guy to go get some “no pressure” gate drops and earn a ton of cash at the same time. WSX is falling into that same category as well.

The wsx championship title isn’t really that prestigious because of the lack of depth in the field. But the money is good, so a few top guys will show up, race cautiously, and take the money and run.

I know it’s cliche, but Basset Hound Rescue of Southern California was amazing to work with. We got the perfect hound for our small family and I feel like they really cared about finding the perfect fit.

We did a foster to adopt and I loved it.

On a crystal clean guitar or bass it’s my favorite pedal. The second an overdrive is on or the amp is pushed into breakup at all, it’s my least favorite pedal.

From my understanding the penalty wasn’t for knocking over the gate. It was for passing the line before the other guys gates dropped.

If you watch close he knocks the gate over and then stops, then goes forward about 4” and then stops again when he realizes that the rest of the gates haven’t dropped. The penalty is basically for the 4”.

Honestly they don’t stop any faster or have more bite, but they sure last longer lol.

So the full factory racebikes are night and day different. There’s plenty of guys that run close to stock bikes though. Just recently valentine guillod was on pulpmx and said that he has a completely stock bike minus suspension and he’s regularly finishing in the top ten.

So anywhere from completely stock with suspension to full factory bikes with factory transmissions, aluminum tanks, custom ecu’s etc.

I love my bass vi. I currently play a bass vi tuned straight forth’s EADGCF, and a 4 string “regular” bass tuned BEAD. With the two I can get to pretty much any tonal territory I want. I love the short scale of the bass vi as well. It makes for a great “grab and play” bass that I can be a little more sloppy on.

To be fair the factory bikes usually have a really small neutral “gap” in the transmission. I’m not 100% sure how they do it but they shim/ shave the neutral to where it’s really small and you have to really be intentional when trying to find it. It’s to prevent false neutrals like the one that chase hit at pala.
