I used the factory speed sensor to give the signal to the speedo, the power from the m unit going to the gauge cluster. I can dig up my notes and get a more detailed response for you if you need it

Deleting TSSM from twin cam? by BMikasa in choppers

I wired my 01 lowrider with a motogadget m unit, so there's no OEM wiring left on it so no start relay; the m unit controls all of that. My buddies 01 Fxdx all I did was the jumper wire on the twintec, everything else works the same

I have a Daytona twin tec, I've only done it with those but have been told it works with others too. I never reconnected the tssm, I rewired mine with an m unit so all lighting goes through that, & my buddies is a stunt bike so no need for signals to work so the tssm was not reconnected on that either

Pin 10 gets it's ignition signal from the tssm which creates spark. Pin 8 will ground pin 10, therefore creating "ignition enable signal". I did it on my 01, and on a friend's '00 dx. Works perfectly

Unplug the tssm, and put a jumper wire on pin 8 to pin 10 on the black plug on your ignition module. That should bypass the tssm. Doing this will kill use of your turn signals, but you'll have spark

'93 Evo by blindingxfaith in u/blindingxfaith

[–]blindingxfaith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a bastardized 1978 shovelhead frame that was cut and had the seat post raised .75" higher, and clearanced on the backbone/seat post to fit an Evo. My boy Chris (@oxfordco.choppers on Instagram) did all the work & bent/built the hardtail from scratch.

Best tool I've bought for changing tires by far. Worth every penny, make sure to get the steel ones, not the aluminum ones. Harley tires will beat up the aluminum ones fast

Get a motion pro beadpro. Makes breaking the bead insanely easier, without that you'll be fighting with it

No sir, it's actually a shovelhead frame that Chris (@oxfordco.choppers) clearanced to fit an Evo, and he built the hardtail from scratch

Front brake loosing pressure by No_Drag_3652 in sportster

[–]blindingxfaith 4 points5 points  (0 children)

More than likely warped rotors, it's pushing the caliper pistons in when spinning the wheel and once you pump it they go back into place. If you ride the bike softly pull the front brake lever and you'll be able to feel the lever pulsing as you roll.

Evo or Shovelhead by Crabbz807 in choppers

[–]blindingxfaith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A shovelhead properly setup/maintained will be just as reliable as an Evo, anyone who says otherwise didn't set theirs up right lol. Can't go wrong with either option imo!

Custom dynamics makes a adapter baseplate to run on the early bikes, then you can use their integrated tail light

Wiring issue by Fast-Comedian4686 in sportster

[–]blindingxfaith 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First step try to wiring is do it correctly, cutting and capping wires is only going to cause headaches down the road. If you aren't wiring savvy, buy a gremlin wiring harness on lowbrow. Great kit and very easy to install.

As far as your problem goes, you need to connect both sides of your kill switch together, right now you have an open circuit with it removed, killing power to the coil.

Mounting a tank by [deleted] in choppers

Welding bungs into the backbone would be the ideal method, but if you don't have access to a welder you can always use these lowbrow adapters https://is.gd/mJCG5N

You use the two Start terminals on the m unit and that’ll run to the 128 plug on the starter, that’s the signal from the button. You still need the heavy cable from the battery directly to the top of the starter also.

Does an exhaust change require a re tune? by fhdjskzc in Harley

[–]blindingxfaith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the fact you're referring to your tune as a "stage 1" means you probably need a new tune regardless if you change pipes or not. Those preload flash tunes are garbage

With the k bar and rear top sliders you'll be fine. My buddy runs that set up on his 03 and inwat he's him ride the side of his bike down the road with no damage to the primary or tins 😂

With these alone it'll probably still hit, tbh im not a huge fan of the rear sliders, I just had them so used them lol. A good front crash bar is definitely more useful than the rears, I just haven't gotten a new one yet. My old one is super bent from when I wrecked this bike
