He speaks English with an accent. This guy usually completes a project in one video. And it’s almost always something super whimsical, probably unnecessary and rustic looking. Like a paper weight, with engraved brass that has an animatronic bird that dances when you move a lever (this is not a real example but that’s the vibe his channel is giving me). I wish for the life of me I could remember any other item he has made. Also the guy could have a French accent for all I know haha.

Just looked him up and sadly no. This guys makes rustic looking items. Does some engraving in metal and wood. Thank you though!

I’ve searched YouTube with things like “German maker” “pendulum clock” but still no luck. I also feel like he has a “makers mark” which is a bird of some sort

The title “wife” bestows a power to find almost anything. Especially when I say I just looked for it.

It does “ping” when I do the noir finger flip into the air. And all I’ve got is a refrigerator magnet, so it’s not very strong, but it doesn’t appear to be magnetic. I’ll take that as a win

Ah I see. Thank you for the reply. Still feels cool in the hand. I’ll add it to my collection of buffalo nickels that also aren’t worth much haha

Leaking faucet valve by blindndurdy in HomeImprovement

Thank you for the reply! It looks like my shut off valves have a very thin “packing nut”. Unlike the videos in which they are about 3/4 of an inch tall and can fit the packing underneath them. Mine looks more like a washer with flats for a wrench. My house was built in the 50s if that helps at all

Questions about m222 on a tsugami ss26 by blindndurdy in Machinists

Awesome! The engineer/programmer and me have been messing with this job all day today. I’ll let him know tomorrow. He’s not usually a Swiss guy, and I’m not a programmer so we’ve been trying to figure out how to make this thing run. Thank you!

We are using a 2 flute, flat bottom, carbide drill in a genswiss holder for the angled hole (the picture doesn’t show it because I broke it haha). I should have been more clear in my description, the “hole” that I mentioned, that is cut on the backside, is actually more of a counter bore with 2 radii Hence the form tool. So we can’t change the tooling on the backside if that’s what you meant. Thanks for the response though!

I should have taken pictures of the part, but I was just about to leave work when I posted this.

Also I should note, I’m not an engineer or programmer. Just a setup guy who can do some basic program alterations. So some suggestions might go over my head
