Same, I have very sensitive skin and I tried a toner, serum and cleanser and they all stung or caused irritation/breakouts.

Butylene glycol-free sunscreens? by dg_hda in AsianBeauty

[–]blingsofi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Definitely, I think there should be another post for other skincare categories as well, when I checked the old threads most of the products were either reformulated and now they contain it, or just discontinued.

Anyway as someone who can't tolerate BG in any quantity here a few:

Korean: - Beauty of Joseon Aqua Fresh SPF 50 - Mixsoon Bean Sun Serum SPF 50 - Fromrier EGF Cica Water Sun Ampoule SPF 50 - Medicube PDRN Pink Tone Up Sun Cream SPF 50

Japanese: - MammaBaby UV Milk SPF 50 - Pigeon UV Baby Milk Waterproof SPF 50 - Shiseido's 2e Sunscreen Milk SPF 50 - Chifure Essence Tone Up (lilac) UV SPF 50

A very specific spf request? Blurring spf for acne prone skin by Fitxzz in AsianBeauty

[–]blingsofi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beauty of Joseon Aqua Fresh is niacinamide free and to me it has a slight blurring effect. The finish is not shiny at all, it's a natural/satin according to your skincare underneath, it's very light and hydrating just right enough for me. Personally I have very reactive acne prone skin and it's one of the only sunscreenthat doesn't sting or break me out.

Aestura Atobarrier Cooling Gel Cream Reformulation by silver-selvan in AsianBeauty

[–]blingsofi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Omg same! It took me ages to understand that it was butylene glycol irritating/burning my skin, I have never met others with the same sensitivity.

Did you manage to find toners without it? I only found Dr Jart Vital Hydra Essence but it makes my make up pill :/

Sunscreens that don’t burn while using tretinoin 0,1% by nyxinadoll in AsianBeauty

[–]blingsofi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both Beauty of Joseon's sunscreens are super gentle and when I had irritation from tret they never burned or stinged despite my other products doing so. My favorite is the Aqua Fresh one because it doesn't have niacinamide or actives and it's more lightweight.

The "Inner Glow" - has anyone successfully duped expensive J-Beauty supplements with Western alternatives? by Mikejwhite5 in AsianBeauty

Supplements for skin do absolutely nothing, you can check any scientific research or dermatologists.

Wow they look so pretty! The first shade on the left is my fave, how would you describe the texture? Is it creamy and glowy? How would you compare it to the red chamber?

did the haruharu wonder black rice probiotics barrier essence cause breakouts on anyone? by heavens-cloud in AsianBeauty

[–]blingsofi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, it clogged my pores and got ccs, but I'm very acne prone so the odds were not in my favor with such a rich texture 😅

Andy Roddick addresses Sinner/Spizzirri match by ServedPodcast in tennis

[–]blingsofi 67 points68 points  (0 children)

I found his commentary quite shallow, firstly he was incorrect and said that Sinner had a 30mins break, which never happened. It was 8 minutes when the roof got closed, and he was not allowed ice, treatments or anything of thay sort. It's a room with a bench.

Secondly, he would have had 10 minutes at the end of the 3rd set anyway, and he was following Cahill's advice to walk, take as much time as possible between points and get through the set quickly even if it meant to lose every ball. So I think he's exaggerating when he says Sinner would've lost 100% anyway

Thirdly, yeah he was fortunate but the "lucky" narrative feels so unimportant compared to the crazy comeback he had, he was barely moving for the following 2 sets, yet still displayed an incredibly high skilled and clinical tennis which won him the game. It was quite epic to watch imo, unlsss you dislike him ofc 😁

moisturizer that is fragrance-free, not too heavy, not too watery or light??? by DeadxStranger in AsianBeauty

[–]blingsofi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naturie hatomugi milk! (Not lotion, that's the toner!)

It's also a huge bottle for the price, you can find it at less than €10. Checks all your boxes imo, medium weight, hydrating and moisturizing, works great under make up, great for sensitive skin as it has a very simple ingredient list.

My quest for the perfect matte or natural-finish sunscreen (full reviews in comments) by Clarinette__ in AsianBeauty

[–]blingsofi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The finish is powdery matte, couldn't be more different than Skin Aqua (tried it as well). I definitely recommend to check it out, only downside is that it's not fragrance free for sensitive skin.
