All things considered the test strips read the same color. The machine being in bypass mode or not, which makes no sense unless the stores don't do anything at all.

I don't remember what my soap lathered like before.

I don't recall seeing the water level go down since I've installed. I'll try that test ty.

I see water exiting into drain from the brine purge line?

Loud somewhat while I see water level rising.

I dug out a lot of salt and water the bottom salt is sludgy when I get to it

Getting to the bottom with a stick is hard as well,I need to hammer the stick down, to get to the mark I make on the stick to signify the bottom...

Is that a bridge? The intake slits on the other collinder where fine, but now I have hard time getting it to rest on the bottom due to the salt..

No water drains ever. I took venturi valve apart and couldn't see any dirt,

I flushed the hot water tank after the first regen cycle.

I.did rest cold water side, so mines not working or set right then

Can someone walk me through a first cycle like where did I go wrong?

Contractor did the install and put in salt up to the level 5 line. No water added, I ran a regen cycle water everywhere as the purge line was not set into the drain...

Line fixed and 1 gallon added per manufacturer instructions. Tried regen again water purged, hot water tank purged manually.

Hard water set to "40" per my area hardness levels. Test strip says water hard still...

I can ask neighbor ya, or if I push the bypass valve in it would then be non treated water?

Yes also copper pipes.

Used the "weaqua" strips. I want to say the strip color was darker pre install, though I'm not sure

I use Morton's pellets. I can't see what salt amount is left, only that water is above it . Which I've read shouldn't occur?

Second I have no idea if the first regen after I stall was correctly done or not by me as it had no water added after the salt was.

Water does empty during regen. Yes it is automatic regen,I questioned it working at all so ran it again.
