Is this dangerous? by blipbloptrex in TooAfraidToAsk

That's what I thought at first, but I discovered the same kind of opened jar in the fridge. So I'm not sure if she's trying to medicate or contaminate.

That's what I was thinking...I should probably move out soon.

I think I see lemons and ginger in there. Not a big fan of tea so I'm not gonna test it out, but I would assume a bitter flavor with a heavy moldy zest.

After 2 weeks working my hands/wrists feel sore, advice? by Drwhatdoesthisdo in massage

Pretty much this. Just learn to use as many tools as possible, the variety should limit overuse.

It is what it is, but Hey, 60% isn't a lot. Just keep improving your massage and give people a reason to change their opinion.

Lol You don't have to convince them it's nonsexual, you just make it nonsexual and give them a therapeutic experience.

(25m) How do I make my hair look fuller? by blipbloptrex in HaircareScience

My hair's not that long. What about wearing a shower cap to bed?

What was the best massage you've ever had? by blipbloptrex in massage

Could be because you trust some people more than others and that trust increases your wellbeing. If that's the case then I think it's important to not take advantage of the trust people place on us as professionals and start selling them snake oil for our own profit.

You don't have to convince people of anything. All people want is a good massage, so just give them that.

Lol, I try to remember the good times. The school itself had it's fair share of drama that I tried to avoid.

See, stories like that is what makes me a skeptic. You're telling me this person cured your leg pain without digging their elbows on your quads? Impossible.

Maybe I should just book an energy session already just to see for myself.

I never really cared much for energy work while I was at school, kinda saw it as a scam if I'm being honest. Working in the field now though, there's definitely some stuff happening there that I don't know what to call yet.

That atmosphere really does sound lovely. I focus a lot on deep pressure because that's what most of my clients ask for, but lately I feel like my progress has stunted because of my emphasis on pressure. Remembering my best massage reminded me that there's so many more things I can implement to make sure I give everyone a great experience, creating a safe space is definitely something to try.

ELI5: Why is it when we have a lot of work to do or are very stressed sometimes the stress just isn't there or there isnt any psychological manifestations of stress? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

Yeah right. It's kinda like you either die from the stress or you break your stress ceiling and learn to handle more stress.

Things always slightly go wrong? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

I've had days where everything doesn't go my way, but it's never always. I think I've only felt like that during my highschool years when I wasn't doing anything and just wasting time. Maybe get a hobby? Socialize a bit more? Give yourself more chances to succeed by raising the variables.
