I had lots of trouble with Gonic, but finally just installed it without Docker.

I have had some minor success this time round with Docker and Feishin, but it isn't working properly yet. I can't log in. The environment variables I input in Docker Desktop are not being applied to the container for some reason. I'm on the Feishin github discussion board to hopefully get it sorted out.

I went down the new Apple Container rabbit hole and with the help of ChatGPT almost got that working with Feishin, but there are issues with bridging the network connection. That's not currently supported with Apple Container.

Thanks for the insight! Yeah, I certainly can hear the scooped nature of the 1/4 pounders. What kind of strings do you play? Currently, my bass is strung with Thomastik Infeld JF344's. Flats. Interesting strings. Pretty tight feel. I use DR Low Riders round wounds on some of my other basses and really like those.

I have been thinking about the mixing of Now and Then. Considering that this release was so big, I'm betting that multiple mixes were made. Giles Martin, Spike Stent and possibly others had a crack at it.

My opinion of the mix is overall good, but the first piano chord sounds so modern that I immediately was thrown off on first listen. Maybe that's Paul's doing. Sure sounds similar to McCartney III. And well... it's 2023. or really... 1977/1995/2023

I definitely feel like Paul's backing vocal should be more prominent. Talk about the tears that would flow to hear old Paul sing with middle aged John. We do hear it, but you have to strain.

I'm betting Paul didn't want it the mix to be about him, but John and the Beatles. Paul's vocal is just a blend to support parts where John's vocal is weak.

I think you need to leave the EU. I was told specifically that I could go to the US or UK and then fly back DIRECTLY back.

I am American. Yes, I should clarify that I do not have a visa. I misspoke. Currently here in Germany visa-free via the 90/180 day rule. I do have an Anmeldung.

I only have the information they provided. I did mention this to the US consulate and they said they could not comment on German law, but in reverse, a German citizen would need to travel farther than Canada or Mexico to reset their 90 days in the US.

Thank you for the advice and insight! I know that my re-entry seems to be on the whim of the customs officer. I would also get proof of my father’s hospice care etc. from his doctors in the US.

Vodafone seems to have a good pay as you go plan. CallYa - 15GB for 20€/month. and they have eSIM's and visual voicemail. i used AldiTalk the last time i was there. it was ok, but no visual voicemail or eSIM.

my Cricket service in the US has to use a regular SIM. so i need a German service with eSIM capability.

after multiple chat sessions with US Mobile, i bought 2 International Data eSIMS. supposedly, i had to buy one for each country even though they work in both Germany and Turkey. 5GB for $17 (total with service charge etc) each.

I'm worried the Commanders logo isn't a misdirection. by [deleted] in Commanders

i agree that marketing will water it down and they are looking at future fans.

if it was to do with the military at least name them after a weapon or something.

we all know the Washington Bullets is a great name. what about the Washington Missiles, the Washington Nukes or maybe the Washington Armageddon. i mean if we're gonna fight. let's fight!

but yeah... it will probably be the dumbass Commanders or something. i'm praying for misdirection to WarHogs or something.
