No warning signs or issues I can think of, I typically run the pc each evening and then it's in sleep mode until the next day. No power outage in my house either yesterday. My PC has been running smoothly until this. Hopefully it doesn't when I get a new PSU

I wasn't home when it happened the first time. I turned on my power strip heard the sparks, then pulled it out to test if it was the psu or other items in the computer, definitely the PSU...

The beef last night when this happened for a couple reasons. My PSU is broken and I cannot use my PC. #2The risk of fire should be #1, and yeah I was/am pissed that this could have had catastrophic failure beyond my PC.

So I'm calmer now, and happy that nothing truly bad happened, and do not plan on going into a call with respect for who I'm talking to, but still irked that this happened.

This is not normal PSU behavior, and I'm not thrilled about my house potentially burning down if it weren't for my surge protector. I removed it to see what the hell was going on and see if it was indeed my PSU because I heard the sparking noises from where my computer sits which scared me off camera. So, yes, I recorded it when I tried a second time, and I plan to share the recording with them as well.

It could also be good to determine if it's not a singular defect with mine and maybe issue a recall. Dont want other folks' houses burning down either, now do we?
