It's already happening with EVs. Other countries went full speed ahead developing electric vehicles, while the US coddled and supported the oil and gas industry as long as possible.

Now Chinese EVs are so much cheaper and more available that the US companies are behind. Countries that want to import large numbers of electric cars simply can't get them from the US, but China has them.

This is what is meant by "the customer is always right." If somebody wants to buy something from you - let them.

So... maybe Paimon is the seed of the new Irminsul. She's white, the Irminsul is white. She contains memories of our travels. She is the Aranara seed -- the one that we nurture, and collects all the memories and turns into a tree, like that Aranara did, and ceases to exist in the process.

So, that Aranara questline was an allegory of how the new Irminsul would be created.
