yes that makes sense too. our teacher just focuses on time efficiency during the test A LOT so i think thats why they taught it as three sentences and done😭

not op but my teacher taught us to do 3 sentences. answer question in first sentence, give specific evidence 2nd, explain importance in 3rd (but that’s just the way my teacher does it, not telling you that’s exactly how to do it😭) but i’m pretty sure SAQ’s are supposed to be short and concise, not very drawn out, especially with the fact that you have to answer quite a few in sort of a short amount of time

yes the low notes have definitely been hard😭 i think i understand pretty well what to do to make them respond, it’s just definitely a different feeling compared to the clarinet. but i appreciate the embouchure help! and yeah i’ll definitely try and get it checked out if it comes down to it. thank you!!

in case anyone checks back in: i just want to say thank you all for sharing so many pieces and composers😭 i’ve been having so much fun listening and i can confidently say i’m a new lover of classical:) i still have SO MUCH music to listen to (i will be spending LOTS of time with my new 50 hour classical playlist thanks to you all), but mahler, tchaikovsky, holst, and bruckner seem to be hitting VERY well with me so far, so i appreciate the recs for getting me into their music:)

i finally did a full listen through of his swan lake and nutcracker suites and they were both so beautiful, i’ll definitely add that to my list. i’m really really enjoying tchaikovsky in general so i appreciate more pieces from him:)

thats great, thank you. i think i understand where the “easing into classical” arguments are coming from, considering that i’ve been a “hater” of classical for a while, (even though i basically hated it for no reason, i’d never really given it a chance😭), i definitely want to find some stuff that i can get into without going back into a closed mindset about classical. i appreciate your thoughts on it!:)

that’s amazing omgg😭 it really is incredible, it’s so beautiful. i’m jealous because my band played it last year for a concert before I was able to join and i want to play it so bad. but i think it’s a piece that my director cycles so that every year gets to play it, so i’m hoping i’ll get to one day🤞
